Learn 20 verbs you can use to be more concise in English. "Concise" means that what you say or write is short and clear. You remove all of the unnecessary words and details.
I know many students want to speak faster in English. Increasing your speed comes with time and lots of practice. But, it's not always about speed. Using concise language can help you express yourself in a clear way.
After every four verbs, I give you a mini gap-fill to help you review what you learned. Can you please let me know your score in the comments? Did you get 20/20? Or maybe 10/20?
Use the discussion questions at the end of this video. Answer the questions with a friend or speaking partner. The more you practice, the more comfortable you'll feel using these verbs in an English conversation.
1) Apart from a sponge, what other objects can absorb liquid?
2) Have you ever smelled something that lingered in the air for a long time?
What was it?
3) What kinds of things might disgust people in different cultures, and why?

Hello, Ms. Arnel. Do you have a video about prepositional verb? I have a question but I couldn't find the answer anywhere. So, the question is "Do prepositional verbs include both intransitive verb + preposition and transitive verbs + preposition?" I appreciate it if you make the video about it or answer my question. Thanks in advance.
Hi, Arnel : I just watched your video, and all I could say was " Great! Great!" Could you kindly teach something like "幾十個/幾千塊 /幾萬塊 / 幾十萬 /幾百萬 / 幾千萬 /幾億? I am always confused with numbers in English😆
Ma'am, your way of teaching is really attractive. The way you teach is quite understandable. I have never seen such a tutor, except you, who teaches in such a funny way. A person never bores while watching your video. 👏👏👏

Thank you Mahmoud! "Concede" is often used in arguments, debates and discussions. "Capitulate" is more like "surrender." It is more commonly used in military contexts. I hope this helps! :)
