I never get tired of Parker's humor in these videos. "Im gonna take these parts and leaving Lady!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 But no seriously 88,000 miles and the Cruze is falling apart already. Those 1st Gen Cruzes were a POS. Usually it's the turbo chargers that go out in them so i wasn't surpised when Parker was like, "how about if i check the oil and there's none in there" really was soo true. He'll be back on that one for sure.

I’m selling mines right now and getting a Honda 😂. It’s had quite a few annoying issues from 160k to now 171k but now it has an issue that would be an expensive fix so my last straw was just used up with it. I don’t wanna see something else go bad with it so I will cut my losses. DO NOT GET A CRUZE. EVER. Even models years and years down the road (~ 2017) with a brand new body shape have some of the same issues as I’ve heard from one owner.

Judging by the amount of oil that this is leaking the PCV check valve has left the chat and ruined the valve cover. The turbo will be smoking before long. Then someone will throw a turbo on it and not change the rest for it just to repeat itself.

My Cruz had 30,000 miles and O2 sensors went bad, rear window seal cracked and leaked causing electrical issues, and the driver window motor/ module went out. I sold it to Carvana for $400 bucks more than I financed for, so it's like I rented it at a low rate for 3 years.

I had an '06 Toyota Avalon and the coils on that engine were a recurring nightmare from the get-go. To make matters worse, you had to remove the cowling to get at the rear coils.

You like your Fiat Chrysler 200? That's a first. They aren't known for reliability. I almost never see them any more and they were all over when FCA was blowing them out cheap. I see more k based cars from the early 90s than fiat based Chrysler's from the '10s

I just fixed one of these by taking the crappy aftermarket coil off and installing a used oem GM coil.

Also, first cruze engine I did, that coil pack broke removing it 😂

Maybe something to do when you check peoples vehicles is Always check the engine oil level... so many owners do not do this and you could save them from a engine failure.

Would like to know what happened to the spring that flew somewhere into the engine? Not trying to be a pain, just trying to be safe..

I don't know what smells worse, burnt electronics or rear end dope.

Upon startup misfire makes me think head gasket. Not so much on this but if it does it after sitting it’s a good clue coolant is leaking in.

My moms got an equinox with under 50k. Already replaced the oil pressure sensor and the other one i cant remember. But yea chevrolet hasn't been good lately.

Its crazy the designers build them in a way now you have to replace the whole coil pack instead of just replacing the one that's bad that way they make more money when the car has to come into the dealership. Everything's built for them to make a killing off of a repair

If you think that’s bad, replace a water pump on a Ford 3.5 Liter engine. The water pump is driven directly by the timing chains and is located within the engine. It’s an $1,800 dollar job to replace the water pump.

Seems like so many of these ppl just don’t have regular maintenance! They just address issues as they come up. No preventative measures at all. Goofy

Don't ever base your repair decisions on Autozone's print outs. They are at best things to consider looking into to see if they are the culprit. You'll be simply buying parts and hoping that it fixes it. And Autozone (or any other parts store) will be happy to make all the unnecessary sales.

Dude the ecotecs suck so bad, I had to do plugs and coil pack on my gfs at 60k then at 75 had to do the water pump which on those suck, then the water outlet (easy) then the egr line was clogged and it’s currently at 82k and I feel a trans on the horizon after draining and filling it 2 times already, and thoroughly complete dog s*** cars 😂

Sooo true. Yet so many people bought those things. It's crazy.

Advance, Auto Zone, and Orielys will scan your car free because they sell auto parts. Trouble codes and part numbers are 2 different things. They will scan it for free becuase if they show you a code the chances of you buying that part is pretty good. I never install "customer supplied parts" for this reason. And I also make a mark up on parts. Eventually ya will figure out that aftermarket parts suck. If its electrical or goes in or on an engine OEM only.

In fairness there's plenty of aftermarket parts that are as good or better than OEM, but they also cost as much or more than OEM. All this cheap garbage from parts stores are generally trash.
