These videos are the ones that stick with me the most when trying to learn how to play. You can not get better instruction than listening to one of the greats explain his reasoning on every step of the hand in a live game.

Cant stop contemplating IF some of his opponents had tuned in on his live stream, especially during the final table - though it would have been so random, they could have been tipped from friends/collegues etc.. Was brave he didnt pause the stream! Great stuff this was.

So i studied poker theory and I am actually 5 years deep in poker. Why I decided to ultimately quit is because I know the odds and I know how to play poker theory and it's fairly simple. I am just human and get tilted so easily and then start buffing everything away. I watch poker players play and say I can do that any day and then try it and get tilted bad and move all in on people. I wish I had more self control. It's harder than it looks. Also when you have pocket aces and someone beats you with 72 suited, I just cant play man.
How much did daniel win guys ?
What was the top 3 payout? Well played regardless.

5:15 its 7-8 or a bluff..it smelled like a bluff on the turn, would he really have overbet it on the turn if he had it? Don't think so.Also the 80% bet on the river was fishy, it should have been all-in on the river if it were a bluff or 7-8 for 50-55% bet or maybe 67%...80% is usually a bluff

I have been watching Daniel play poker for years now, but I am no poker pro. What is the difference between poker techniques then and now using modern poker theory? The reason why I ask is because Daniel killed Doug in straight up but lost online. My rationale is that Daniel would destroy Doug 9 times out of 10 in heads up live play. Am I missing something?

Online play is so different from live play. I’m trying to figure it out better.
@notorioezz
2 жыл бұрын
Don't overthink it. And never worry about what your opponent might have, because online these trolls could have anything. Look at your own hand and just be honest to yourself. Is it strong, keep playing. Is it weak, ship it. And try to use the timer to your advantage. Lots of players think that if you run out the clock you had a tough decision to make, when in reality you have pocket aces and could've shoved right away. Online, the timer is the only readable thing and I always use it to fool opponents. It works trust me.
Are you making judgement calls based on your opponents tendencies still? Or is it just all solver stuff these days?
Badbeatbill played you like a fiddle.
On the final table, I put the guy on AK, AQ, KQ, AJ, KJ, K10, 10-10

Do you guys think DNegs got unlucky or got outplayed? Lots of hard folds from DNegs. Wonder how much he got bluffed. I have a feeling that the remaining players too it up a level while DNegs wasn't pulling off too many bluffs himself.
@Dog3D

I think without knowing who the players are and their tendencies, it’s probably hard to know for certain if he got bluffed or not. I think he did mostly the right things and didn’t take unnecessary risks even if he had the chance of winning a big pot. There were def some hard folds
Such is life. What are you gonna do?
