so far so good the foal has some fluids in her, she is able to drink from the bucket enough (this will get better)
but we are waiting for the Vets to call us back!
we know from previous foals that its best to have them checked out by the vets ASAP
we get this Question all the time: WHY does this happen?
there is afew reasons, but mostly what we have found is that whenthe mares are foaling out, the stallions go hormonal and start fighting and then pushing the mare before she is even done birthing her baby. Usually the foal is in the cross fires, often injured, or sick, or combo.
every foal we have found needed immediate attention and or interventing by a vet.
we have also humanly euthanised foals due to severe injuries.

You need an official Foal Rescue Kit to make your lives easier when you go out to do these wonderful deeds. Bless you for doing this.

They probably do have a kit but took off as soon as possible to save a baby.

One of the best things I've ever seen is Jordan sat on the back seat of a truck with a foal on his lap.
The baby with the soulful eyes...what a doll. I'd call her Destiny or Dolly. Lord bless her and all of you.
She has a comet on her face. She is lucky to be with you 2😊

You two are wonderful to drop what you were doing and then be unprepared for a foal. Running to get milk for her and then taking her to the vet. A lot of extra work and vet bills. Bless you both❤❤❤❤

She's not thirsty, she's Hungry! She needs colostrum ASAP. It's very possible she did not get to nurse before her dam got driven away or whatever happdned. So sorry for this filly, so glad you can help her!

Camille, I think she is going to grey out on you. I had a mustang foal born that was chocolate with grey rings around his eyes. The grey gradually spread and he shed out grey. They are beautifully built, Andalusian influenced with great movement.

The best for her would be flower essenses! Therapists is all over the state. That Will work wonders with this little beauty. Flower essenses will help her with the loss of her Mother and chock and fear and trauma. I use it helping people and it have really helped them. Good luck with your baby....❤❤❤❤
Might be an idea to keep a couple nanny goats.... for the milk.... goats dont need to be bred to milk... I haven't come across any animal that cant digest it... best milk ever, especially for little orphans... what a beautiful baby.. well done!! ❤❤❤

As many new borns you guy’s rescue you need to make up a dummy mare with an opening for bottles. Then the foal could nurse in a more natural way. Just a thought. Great work and thank you for everything you do for these little guys.

The vets tested her, she was very low so she was given a plasma transfusion.

Audio is very difficult to hear.
Why bucket? Why not a bottle she is little need is immediately needed. I know you know this . Bucket takes too long to figure out.
