I've been strongly debating taking the leap and getting the stage 2 so I can downsize my set up and have just one keyboard onstage instead of 3. Are the piano & synth options sufficient enough that I could get rid of my synths and digital piano? Not concerned with organ so much, I don't use those sounds often. Main concern is realistic piano and variety of synths.

It depends really on what you need. You will not have all the features you had with 3 different keyboards, with only one keyboard. Try it in a store. Realistic pianos, absolutely. Synth, yes, works fine for me. But you are a little bit limited in using different sounds at the same time. Split points are predefined, for example. I use 2 boards, a Yamaha motif workstation and the NS2. Sometimes I need both, sometimes only the motif and in another band only the NS2. You can't say in general what is needed or if the NS2 satisfies you completely. It depends on your skill, your music and what you want.

Hi Christian, you did some great demos! One question: Did you have to download most of those sounds from the nord webpage? And was the ROM space sufficiant to have them loaded? Or did you delete some sounds to creat some free disk space for it? Greetings from the Black Forest in Germany!

Hi Michelle from the Black Forrest 🙂, thanks. Viele der Sounds sind u.A. basierend auf Samples, also nicht ausschließlich aus dem Synth generiert. Das kostet natürlich Speicher, der ja beim NS2 knapp bemessen ist. Hier mussten einige Werkssounds welche ich nicht benötige oder relativ gleich klingen weichen und ein paar habe ich auch durch neuere Samples der 2.0 Library ersetzt (die sind kleiner). Ach so, neben selbst programmierten sind die meisten originale Nord Sounds, einige vom norduserforum und auch welche von Matt Cossey!

Are you selling this sound demo patch? Or did you create these synth sounds on the Nord? If so, how much?

Hi there! Thank you for this fantastic video! I have a Nord Stage 2, it actually belonged to a friend of mine before. I’ve been having this issue that no one has been able to help me solve... when I’m playing the normal piano function it’s fine, but when I add in the synth function, the synth plays along with the piano but 2 semitones below the note I’m playing. I have no idea how to fix this, do you have any idea?? Thank you!!

Natasha Pereira Hi, every sound in the Synth section? Then it may be that the pitch stick is activated/faulty. Have you tried to move the pitch stick or to turn the "PSTICK" function off in Synth section?

Thanks, great demo. If I can suggest you, the expression pedal help me a lot for the morphing operation that you have assigned to the modulation weel. ;)

I don't know exactly if I made "all", most of them, yes. For sure the programs. Samples are factory, norduserforum or bought.
