Yep I’m about to order this Dewalt impact wrench to loose up the crank bolt on my son 2005 civic so I can change the water pump and timing belt it a pain in the ass ✌🏽
Ha ha ha " you gotta be kidding , it came right off " 😊😊😊 awesome bro
Nice! I am glad you got that done!

Oh, me too!
Dewalt has been absolutely killing it with their new lineup last couple of years. Looking to trade my trusty dcf899 for the 900 these days. Got the new dcf921 atomic compact a little while back and it pretty much instantly became my go to. That little guy is a total beast. Gets me through most of what I face. But the 900 would get me through everything else without having to bust out the air. If you slap a 6AH, or higher, battery on there it offers quite a bit more punch to them (and most Dewalt tools also) as the larger batteries are able to discharge better and handle the peak draw of the tools. Their powerstack does very well at this also, even just 2AH onebwhich is what I use mainly on the compact to keep it compact. Very awesome tools Dewalt is coming out with these days.

I agree with everything you said and that is exactly the same approach I plan to take when the Ryobi impact does! Thanks for the input!

Absolutely on both counts!
Man I'm glad I got it 😊
Thx ❤
Oh yeah for the 900 dewalt this bolts are candy
Shoot they have the 1700ftlb dcf 961 now!!! Dewalt has the market on the high torques
Having the dewalt save a lot of time and money. You do have to worry about busted hands. Back pain and therapy do to anger issues because we all know Honda crank bolts will test any and everybody who dealt with them.
If you think the 900 dewalt impact wrench is good then you will love the 961 it's the flagship of dewalt and is a lot more powerful than the 900.
I am in same situation you were in with the crankbolt. Got a honda accord 1996 and we tried everything from heating to using breaker bars broke few extentions and heating it for more than 30 minutes no luck yet i am getting ready to buy the same impact gun and hope it work. Or else i dont know what to do. 😕

Map pro oxygen tourch did the job not even the DeWalt could do it
It's not the impact wrench but the heft of the socket. Your old impact wrench would probably have worked.
How much in and out play does your anvil have?
The Ryobi for the price does good....honda and transporter crank bolts always a favoirite😂😂

Yeah, it's a good little tool. I've had it for years and it's still going strong.
Wow, finally success. 😀 I wonder if soaking with penetrating oil helped. 🤔

The penetrating oil probably didn't do much, especially if, as I suspect, Honda uses threadlocker on that bolt. I wonder if anyone has read the Honda service manual on this. If it has threadlocker on it, a light application of the blue wrench to the head of that bolt would probably have loosened it right up.

@@kimlground206 That bolt is long and goes deep so getting the inner area hot enough to thaw anaerobic locking compounds could be challenging (and in many salvage yards they won't let ya bring a torch). I do bring a full-sized cutting torch with an oxy-LP tip and an adapted disposable LP cylinder along with a small oxygen cylinder where I can though.
That was easy!

You’ll get your money out of that impact, sometimes it pays to just walk away 😅

Umm, or buy a 30 dollar Honda Crank holding tool, then use breaker bar .....

@@GettinJunkDone ,come on man, how many actual days removing a crank bolt,2or 3 weeks😳😳 .. I worked as a tech 15 years at Montgomeryville Acura , ... Getting a crank bolt out was the least of our problems, it can always be done with a holding fixture and a large breaker bar..(.I hope u sell a lot of impact guns and weighted sockets 😅

The impact is insanely useful elsewhere too like pulling parts in salvage. I bring my DCF 900 when LS hunting along with their 60V recip saw for the frame tubes. Works a treat.
