Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A second day of candid filming with a little more wading and some anecdotes...
All filmed from a 2005 Range Rover L322. More ‘fly on the wall’ than proper documentary. Enjoy a bit of slow TV with Geoff (And some of the family)

Research the European Union's 'Rainwater Framework Directive' of 1999 . It gives councils the excuse to neglect waterways . Massive increase in flooding since then . I know , we are supposed to have left .

When I was a kid in the 1970’s you would listen to stories from the old guys talking about extreme 100year floods in certain areas. [they had flooded once every 100year or so on a regular basis for the centuries] as in that certain areas were flood plain that you should never build on, and the other areas to the sides that didn’t flood were also a no build area because they were a 100 year flood plain.

On way back both rear wheels sunk yep it pulled me out again, all it needed was a wash when i arrived home, great work guys. ps on both occasions i thought ide need a tow but as i have some experience before in my tiguan i knew she wouldn't let me down.

I went through a stream in a raised hilux diesel where the water was 3/4 up the front screen. We had oxygen bottles incase the level inside the car got to high but wasn't needed.I also went through a deep stream in a corolla diesel. The air intake pipe went from under the bonnet to inside the car through the firewall and up the front a pillar. This was a bit scary because the car started to float at the rear because it was to light.Lucky the water was just sitting and not moving.

Just remember, rangies are not invincible. All you have is ground clearance. If the side flow is too great, you will go with it, if the road is washed out, you're going down. If you go too fast, you will drown the motor. All far more embarrassing in a 4x4 😂 Doesn't matter what car, always go at a speed you can stop and retreat if it goes pear shaped.

The land seen from the viewpoint at the start is floodplain, it's normal to fill after big rain. The question is, why was the far end of this brand new dual carriageway closed on one side due to flooding? Someone has got something seriously wrong at Highways/ County council level
