@@chunt241 my college is a big time Andis and oster guy he has them and is speaking highly of them. They definitely produce quality.

I mentioned The Wahl Premium System on part 1 it's a Great system not too far off from the standard Wahl guards system only differences is the metal clip which is promised to be a more secure fit. I have used the system it creates amazing blends producing great cuts. For me it's just that the metal clip does not hold up well over time but to some people the same goes for the standard guards which I prefer.

they are soooo bulky too I don’t see how anyone likes let alone loves those guards…..they are big, bulky, and the teeth are so far spaced apart and to me especially with kids or fine hair leave zigzags or blunt guard marks, they are the worse.

@@j.exquisitegrooming sorry for being so blunt or harsh sounding lol, I went and ordered a set of wahl premium guards thinking they made a new updated version because everyone was talking about how great they were in the comments of videos about guards I was watching only to find out they were the same ones they’ve had for years and years and honestly just kind of disappointed in wahl and andis as a whole at how far behind they are in their tools and guards etc….but I use detachables whenever I can, I also like the andis purple guards but I don’t like andis clippers….so i don’t use those anymore, I actually really like a set wahl makes they are colored guards, they are much slimmer and cut much closer and smoother than the premium guards they have more rounded edges so they are good for kids as they don’t poke them and good for adults because they cut closer and smoother but my last set stated breaking less than a year of me having them which sucks, I’ve heard really good thing about the jrl premium guards and I just ordered the onyx and from my understanding they come with them so I’m hopeful for those, and now thinking about ordering the tight guards also.

For me the JRL half guard is my favorite, I've tried alot of different half guards and I find it crazy that nobody even talks about it

Stay TUNED I just got my hands on the “Onyx” and that guard system definitely 💰JRL will possibly be in my rotation the ergonomic design is impressive all around.

I say both are great because you need them for different work but the tight guards work for all textures that I have tried them on so far.

i bought the TPOB slime bundle but it didnt come with .5 guard. What guard can i buy that is compatible anyone know ?

I say Get the Wahl or GAMMA TIGHT GUARDS. Which will of course with the TIGHT GUARDS won’t be sold as a single spare but comes with four as in 1, 1.5 & 2

Does Tpob do higher guards like 5 and a 6. Secondly, do they do they clip sizes for the tpob troll blackouts.

Only the essentials 1/16 or .5, 1, 2, 3 & 4 I believe it fits universal for any TPOB Clippers.

Both kinds? The premiums, or the magnetic? Which one is y'all's favorite? I got the 4 click slime 2, and the candy. I stick with Wahl, but was looking at the s/c guards. Just want some incite from folks that have actually used them.

@@user-nu7on6nc5h for me I say the you Wahl is my got to, but you can not go wrong “Slime 2” just be cut with how you put them on and off when changing guards you may grind the teeth by mistake. Otherwise Tight Guards 💯%

I prefer Wahl.. i also love Babyliss premium 0,5 guard.. but other are not that good.. too fat.

Wahl has definitely defined or paved the way for what guards should be indeed, they will always have a special place.
