I am annoyed that the public look down on the "self-producing idol" title of 17 because other groups claim that they can also produce their music while the only thing they do is some members taking part in writing lyrics. While 17 do everything related to their music, they brainstorm the concept for new album, compose, arrange, write lyrics, direct recording, select which songs to put in, choreography, decide concept for MV, choose the MV PD, choose their outfits, edit their videos. Don't need to mention that their reality show are based on their ideas as well. The boys make a full used of their 13 members!!!

Oneday, I'd love to see him teach the younger generation who wants to be a composer, lyricist and producer like him. I think it's because of pledis don't have the initiative to do anything or basically money or their management that seventeen need to this. If not they will never be able to debut. However every bad circumstances has its own light at the end and it does show and produce how SVT can stand by his own rn because the attitude of their company.

In fact it’s a well known fact that Pledis did not want Seventeen to sing Very Nice and wanted Pretty U instead. Imagine all those songs going to waste and all that hard work going away.. but on the bright side they r Self Producing Idols, the only group with this title and it’s well deserved.

I feel like you're implying that "idols" are inherently less talented than "artists"... minghao said himself on cyzj that there shouldn't really be a distinction between the two. the way I see it idols are under the umbrella of artists, the only distinction really is the "structure" of being an idol and how they promote, rather than the talent or level of self production. seventeen will never not be idols but that's not a bad thing~ I'm sure you didn't have bad intentions with this comment this is just something I've thought a lot about dhfkgj

Melia Thanks for clearing things I up, I didn’t really know much about the difference but people have always considered idols to be a lower ranking than artists because most of them don’t self produce. They aren’t in any way less talented, no way. And I completely agree with Minghao’s suggestion now. But earlier when I learnt about how much Seventeen do self produce I thought they could close to being considered artists, obviously there are mor groups like this of course too. But either way thanks 😊.

It's so cool to see them working on the songs, especially after hearing the beautiful fruits of their efforts. Woozi is an amazing, hardworking producer and Seventeen is an amazing, hardworking group. I'm so proud to be a Carat, stanning them for a couple months and already I feel inspired to become this great enough at something to leave my mark on the world.😊🥰
