Tamiya Panel Accent is ok. Has a tendency to puddle in low areas and leaves a film wherever you touch the chrome. Thinned Flat black Tamiya paint works much better. And in one application.

Hi Paul, I enjoy watching you work. I have the same model in the AMT version. I think it is a garbage kit and it was in my garage as a give away. I have pulled it back out after watching this and Part 1. I have done some other cheap kits and they turned out really well. I find that turning these types of kits into something really nice can be more of a challenge than the more expensive higher quality kits. I am going with the Candy Apple Red with the white stripes.

Just so that I understand, you let the 1st tack coat dry for 10 minutes then whatsever let behind in the color cup, you spray that. Won't that harden, or do you dump what's left over and make a whole new mix. Nice build.

Tack coat and 2nd coat, throw away 2k left. Remix fresh batch for final coat

I was paint a car today used a laquor paint for primer the applied laquor top coat of tamiya cleaned air in-between found the paint as it is drying it is becoming bumpy on the roof and hood only any thoughts on what the problem my be

Oh yes. I’m using wife’s iPad.. it’s Pete ……. I’ve got it now, you put them into a plastic box for them to vent between coats. My fist foray into cars. Crap gloss coat ( Humbrol gloss coat wrinkled ). Have you left water based paints etc now. Thanks I’m working my way through the videos Pete 67yrs

Sansodor from winsor and Newton is an odourless mineral spirit I use for removing excess enamel wash

It was Gravity 2k but I’m now using ProScale.Paints which you can find on facebook

They are made from 0.5mm wire. Hookup wire of Amazon is perfect

What was the chrome color that you used? And how do you thin your Tamiya paints? Ive used them with the Tamiya X20 thinner at a 2 to 1 ratio.
