Then we judge those albums based off of critical acclaim and commercial success, generally ( I like to list lyricism as another thing that can be judged, but it's also subjective subject, so we really can't ).

If an artist achieves both, that's incredible, no easy feat to accomplish. Eminem has done both of those: critical praise (MM:LP, ES) and commercial (nearly every album by him). It's almost unfair to compare Eyedea's work with Em, as I said, because it falls short 1,000,000-fold. However, a lot of that success comes from Em's commercial achievements.

Having extensively listened to both Eyedea and Eminem, I can say there is no way a Eyedea would butcher Em. Anyone who says Eyedea would've torn up Em is a deluded underground fanboy. Vice-versa, anyone who says Eminem would've destroyed him is a Stan. They're both too close on the same plain of rap that there's no way you would know who would've won between them.

Chiplinked I disagree. Eyedea beat Otherwize, and Otherwize beat Eminem in the Rap Olympics. Eyedea doesn’t write, unlike Eminem, and he just has more endurance. Eminem is nowhere near on the same plain as Eyedea. REYEP

He IS an amazing solo artist - critically, commercially, and lyrically - he outdoes Eyedea's solo career 1,000,000-fold. I think Eyedea is the best battle rapper I've ever seen and an amazing freestyler as well. He is incredibly dope at just regular rap too, but not on par with Em's technical ability at the skill of rapping.
