Holy crap this looks so good. Im planning on buying one and I've barely touched a paintbrush, but watching this makes me want to try and repaint it when it comes!! You can really see the level of precision.

I looked at some other stuff and this channel, and it has become clear how hard this guy works to put out great content. A sub has been earned.

Great job on the painting man! Awesome masks man.

After going back and working on a H40 mask again I recommend using a Dremel tool with a wire brush. It strips the paint really well and you get a whole lot more detail from the wrinkles and cracks.

I got mine, but it is literally the worst yet. Mine had way too much hair, it took about a half hour to get the hair to it's 2018 size. Now all I need to do is completely repaint it. Excited to try, will keep this mask. So wish me luck! 😁

I want to, but scared, and plus I don't have the products to do it, I need to re hair the mask first.

The initial paint Job isn't terrible, but it was weak and off. Mines I got in the mail was almost pretty spot on. As someone preparing for Halloween very early, I have seen many reviews and people have gotten really good masks and some have really bashed the paint job because ingl they were bad. So now that I've seen the variety of really good and really, I feel since they have really been in demand, they have made some really good, and some really bad because the painters worked their ass off and start to get lazy. I'm glad you were able to repaint yours so it looked better, and your paint skills will be better than mines any day so definitely a subscribe from another Chicagoan :)

@@kevingutierrez6327 there isn’t really you can get pre mixed paint so you don’t have to worry as much about mixing it yourself it’s also good to make sure you clear coat it cause it can still crack sometimes if you’re not careful with your layers

Dude 10 minutes In and it already looks better

For anyone wondering and willing to give it a try, there is WAY more detail in the mask if you completely strip the paint down to the latex. It's actually amazing how detailed the sculpt is without all the nonsense tots painted on it. It will require you to either take all the hair off and find a spot that is peeling up or if you want to leave the hair on use a dremel with a felt tip and carefully remove the paint that way.

You should try a cottonhead dremel tip to strip the paint off and then re-hair it with crepe hair or mohair

Try mixing a little burnt umber with forest or emerald green, it’ll give you the truest color closest to dirt

Awesome video best mask yet. Mine has just arrived today. And I wanna repaint but kinda nervous about ruining it or making it worse. Have you had any trouble of yet with peeling or anything. I know some people are commenting about how long to leave it to dry before wiping it. And some people’s are peeling when wiping and I’m confused about the 1to 1 ratio you use. Could you explain please I need your help

I just got a 2018 mask from trick or treat studios and was wondering if your doing any rehauls? Your grail mask is the exact style I’ve been looking for.

The ultimate would be buying the original captain Kirk mask they used for the first Halloween film and aging/customizing from there.

So by color what colors did you use with liquid latex. Also did you just use water for just the white or did you use 1 for color 1latex and half water?
