I’ve been a Harley rider all my life. In fact I’m a hall of fame master bike builder as well. I recently purchased a left over 2021 RT Limited. The reason being my physical limitations and my age. I’m 72 with extremely bad arthritis , both knees replaced and several problems from a near death crash years ago. Most recently an accident that led to having my right index finger fused. All of which made it way too hard to pull the clutch on my daily rider which was a Harley 2017 Anniversary Street Glide. I installed an auto clutch and changed the slave cylinder ( it had a hydraulic clutch ) and still for a long ride I simply couldn’t do. This unit is perfect! Recently rode a 4500 mile trip to Sturgis from SC taking the long way and doing many things along the way. Being on the road as long as we were it was great having all that storage. As to the ride. Very similar to riding a snowmobile which I loved so much when I lived up north. Riding through the Ozark mountains was an absolute blast! Over 200 miles of twists , turns and switchbacks. The Harley boys couldn’t shake me even with more HP. I had to make a modification to the shifting mechanism do to my finger. I made a part that eliminated that problem so I can shift perfect now. While it certainly is nowhere near a head turning custom bike at my age it’s simply the sacrifice I needed to make. After all it’s way better to be riding than just looking at a bike. My ONLY real complaint is the exhaust. It sounds like a sewing machine. I put on a RLS cat and Acropovic muffler which improved but still …..still sounds like a sewing machine but now on steroids. However it dropped a lot of weight. I honestly have a hard time figuring out how the stock system can even work with all the restrictions. The engine is approximately 80 CI which is the same as a Harley EVO motor. One cylinder alone on an EVO has a pipe diameter larger than this total exhaust. The cost for these parts was rather pricey as well. I’ve added a few goodies to it as well and I would say it’s as close to perfect as you can get for long trips. Just to sport around I think the F3 is probably way better. I only rode one for a little. For anyone debating weather or not to buy, I would have to say overall YES! Knock on wood, over 7500 miles now and not one single hiccup . Thanks to your video I decided to purchase the RLS cat and would be recommend by me along with the Acropovic muffler. Either that or hook up a recording of a bad ass Harley and crank up the stereo lol.

Wow Mr. Lee :) Wow!!! thank you for your insights. As for the sound, I am sorry but Akrapovic and if you went with original that BRP offers, is very muhc turned down. You can remove a silencer maybe and get the better sound. I love the look of it, its robust, but if you want something more, you will need full exhaust set up from RLS or somebody else. Also, if you lie mountain roads, i strongly recomend this. www.martinthevlogger.com/product-page/sway-bar-can-am-Motorcycles-Spyder its the strongest swaybar on themarket and soooo may people underestimate this upgrade. I have put it on every single trike I own even on bikes I have in rental agency, thats how badass this is. The original by BRP is just a joke for size of this bYke. have an awesome day, many many many more happy miles. martin

@@MartinTheVlogger yes I believe the RLS exhaust may sound better however I much prefer the looks of the Acropovic. I researched and found prices varied a lot between E Bay and Amazon. There are big differences. I believe I got The lowest price out there. Regardless it’s simply never going to have the sound of a Harley. However being now older and have been there , done that I can live with it and ride happily ever after. I appreciate your sway bar information. Thx for your quick response.

@@Lwimmermastermetalart anytime Sir. Harley sound its harley sound and i like that you are very wise and you are not trying to make something out of RT that the bYke and set up is not build for. I have seen so many ppl buying Rykers and trying to make touring bYke out of it, spending much more than F3s with good bags would be... but .... its a different story

Thank you for the bike review. I have this new model and love it. It’s smooth and relatively quiet except at around 80 kph when there is a wind noise. Love the storage. I’m short and sit forward and there is no problem for me. I have put the Garmin Zumo GPS onto the steering column and that’s much better than the BRP system. Looking forward to your future reports. Thank you again. Toni

MartinTheVlogger yes agree with your comments. I’m only 5’9” so I fit the bike well. I find it very comfortable and being a left leg amputee the huge floor boards help me climb on board. Only covered 1500miles and new to 3 wheels so still very much getting use to it, so loving your videos and comments also. Would love to hear the Akro pipe on it. Have been looking at these for the last ten years since becoming an amputee but never quite convinced to ride a trike, but love the new styling better compared to last years model, and after seeing it in November at the NEC show in the UK I was convinced and bought one as soon as they became available in the UK

I live in the far west burbs of Chicago so it gets pretty cold in the winter. Still don’t know what model I’ll buy yet but the wife and I love to ride.
