Wow that tree didn’t want to give up!
70 and 71 FoMoCo intermediates were some of the company's best designs. Even the four door sedans had a sleek and stylish look.

So glad you enjoyed it. That would be a cool ride to have now. Just simple and easy. No technology
I’ve always heard that “there is nothing more expensive than a free car” but I guess “expensive” can equal time and “sweat” labor, not just cash? I’ll hand it to you, it takes some real tenacity to cut down trees and stumps to retrieve a old car. Especially in the summer heat! Not sure I still have that in me? But I haven’t been offered any free cars lately, either … so who knows? I think I would name the Falcon Virgil and the Torino … Woody! You definitely earned yourself a nice “free”, “tree” car score, there! Nice work and good save! Looking forward to what comes next with them.

We refer to that style Klein bag as a nose bag over here. We run stuff up and down the poles in those on the end of a handline. Youll find all kinds of use for them, or Mrs Flatbroke might like it for gardening.. You guys worked hard for that rig! Nice job!

I had a 1970 Torino with a 351 Cleveland in it. I bought it used back in 1980 was a low mileage car drove it from California to Idaho and back and across the country had it at least 5 years loaned it to my wife while I was working on her Granada. get a call it got totaled by a laundry truck. The ol' green machine doesn't look too bad from this side of the camera lens, but I bet if you gave her a bath she'd soon show her dark side. I saw what you were pointing out about the cowl / firewall and yeah, the sub-frames don't look exactly solid (the rear one was definitely a bit moth-eaten) and if they look grotty on the outside after sitting in the dirt for 25+ years, you bet they aren't gonna be pretty on the inside.....and thin sub-frames aren't really a good thing, are they? Adding in the repairs to the doors, trunk lid, trunk floor, cabin floor, cowl, RF fender etc, let alone all the steering bits, brakes, bushes etc.... Yeah, it's sad, but the good bits on the beast will go to cars that otherwise wouldn't get back on the road, so I still consider that a win and a good use of resources. Man, if that engine fires and sounds good, there's another bonus too - especially if you then drop it in Drive and she tries to move. The cluster, the dash frame, seats, ancillaries, trim, grille, glass - all of it will be used, so good call, mate. I'll look forward to hearing it run before you take her apart too! All the best
