Fantastic work on this build! Black is such a tough color to paint and you nailed it. Can't wait to see what's up next

The car looks really nice Dan. Looking forward to what you build next. Stay away from the warhammer 🐇🕳. Stay safe 🍻🌲

I make no promises about Warhammer! No immediate plans but never rule anything out.
Thanks for the tip re the cracked windscreen. Did you dip the acetate with a gloss coat or similar?

No dipping, I don't find it adds any improvement really.
Second question, sorry. I received a notification about this video and it says that it was uploaded 4 days ago. What's the story with that?

Very strange, has been out there for a while.
Can you put a link in the comments telling the different kinds of glue that you are using?
@TheDanCave
Жыл бұрын
For general plastic work before paint I use Tamiya extra thin or Tamiya extra thin mixed with EMA plasti-weld (makes a hotter glue). After paint, chassis and running gear is generally all with CA glue. Windows go in with UV 10sec curing resin. External and small parts will generally be with PVA glue (generally Glue 'n Glaze.
Very nice work with the bmf. Did you use ”Chrome” or the ”New improved chrome”? The latter seems to be discontinued and the former is thicker, easy to wrinkle and though to cut. At least the ones i had.

It was the Ultra bright Chrome. It does seem to lose its adhesive qualities after a while and definitely need a fresh blade to cut it. It has been hard to get in the UK recently, and there is no alternative really apart from airbrushing Molotow or similar.

@@TheDanCave Ok thanks. Too bad the good old improved chrome is gone. I once tried the ultra bright, it was almost as bad as the current chrome. But you managed it very well.
funny my windshield broke exactly the same place which I thought was interesting

It probably a weak point from the sprue attachment point.
