can you able to rotate the fiber gear which meshes to the crank shaft? Do you need to adjust the plastic gear?

If they are in good condition, they can be reused

Amazing video, I have a question how much would this fix with the balance shaft cost me? Dealership quoted me 2000$+ for labor and parts and said the entire engine would need to be removed is this true? The new balance shaft is only 150-200$ online. For reference car is a 2008 Rav4 Limited. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated thank you!!!

If you just want to change the balance Shaft, you don't need to take out the engine, you can change it by opening the oil pan from below.

i would leave out the balance shafts.they have plastic gears and will fail and block oil pickup screen and seize engine.

On my 2002 2.4 L Camry. When I dropped the oil pan I found 2 balance shaft bearings laying in the bottom of the pan. How could the bearings work their way out to fall into the pan?

Great video. I have two questions: 1. How hard is it to remove the case with the 8 bolts that houses the balance shafts? 2. Can the shafts be removed/installed with the engine still in the car, like from underneath? I think mine may be misaligned from a rebuild error and are causing intense vibration at 900 RPM. Thanks!

Thanks so much for the comments ,Yes the balance shaft can be changed or adjusted from the bottom. For this you have to open the oil pan

Can I get to the crank bearings without disassembling the balancer shafts?

Yes,But for that you have to open the place where the balance shaft is attached

Where could I find the torque specs. You didn't include that info in this video like you did in the pt 1 video. BTW great video
