Hi Glyn Love your wheels, this is going to be one very special Classic 350 when it’s finished. These wee bikes are just such fun to play around with, and give such a lot of satisfaction. Rebuilds like yours definitely have there high and low points. Now that you’re poised to start putting it back together again, the enthusiasm will return, as will the sunshine hopefully. Keep your spirits up, you’re an inspiration. Many thanks for mentioning my channel, much appreciated. Take care Tiger Ness

I have periods when I feel no motivation and I just pass until the wind blows in a different direction; better too wait until you feel inspired once again 👍. As for the parts and prices I'd say that's exceptional value, over the years I've had many parts powder coated and as you say the finish is just top notch 👍

You know the expression :"nice set of wheels you got there". Now, folks will literally be talking about your wheels! Back in 1979 when I still lived in France, I did bend the fork on my Suzuki TS125. I found a shop that was able to straighten the fork tubes. It worked great and wasn't very expensive. Of course, I had to take the forks apart. Anyway, finding an extra set for the price you paid was a great deal indeed. Funny what you said about waking up hours later and wondering if it was all a dream. It happens to me once in a while to do something in the middle of the night and not remember right away as I wake up. Sorry about your 4 legged friend. It takes a while to recover. I have been there. Nice to see you back online!

Welcome back Glyn. I was getting serious G.O withdrawal symptoms. That was an amazingly WOW episode. Incredible steps forward. On the brass ring, find someone with a small lathe that can turn it down, including the flat inside edge. Very easy job. Update on the Meteor gear change upgrade. The results are fantastic. I don't have any excess play anywhere and the gear change is super slick and smooth now. Best 40 quid I ever spent. Thanks for the tip.

Hi Glynn, that's going to look awesome when finished. I quite like the idea of the brass detailing to go with the chrome. If you are looking for badge ideas for the side panels perhaps check out the tank badges from the signals green edition, I reckon they would look great on there and would compliment all the other brass detailing. What a cracking job they have made of the wheel/tyre combination, exceptional quality. Think you'll perhaps need to rethink the rear mudguard set up too with that wheel?🤔 Look torward to the next instalment.🙂👍

Given that the bigger wheels will mess up the speedo readings on the display, which I assume is the main reason for not fitting the Hunter throttle bodies/ECU (maybe). So will you also be giving that a try?

Just an idea but if the forks are OK then they may have come from a bike that has been rear ended. With that in mind, did you contact the seller to see if he had the ignition switch and scutcheon ? Not an option if it was stolen/recovered and you've probably already thought of that but worth a try.
