Scott, thanks for posting. Unfortunately, I missed your video before doing my install on the same generator. I made a video myself for any others who purchased this generator. I ended up cutting mine as well and attached the regulator on the outside edge as opposed to the short side edge where you mounted yours.

Thank you! You might want to check out costco for a generator that runs on gas and propane for the same price. They started selling one just a couple months after I did the conversion.

Apparently, there is a smaller profile carb attachment that you can get which eliminates the need to cut the frame. It wasn't available or I wasnt aware of it when I bought the kit. You might try calling US Carbs or look on their website for more details. Good luck!

The generator from Costco that runs on bi fuel was only in stores I think. I noticed my Costco carried it only for a few months. You might try calling around to different Costco warehouses.

I tell you what, I'm pretty ticked off about finding that out just now. Oh well. You live and learn. Do you mind sharing a link to where people can find the slimmer adapter? Thanks, Scott

Would you happen to know which one that is? I've been searching their website and haven't been able to find a propane generator. I am actually planning to purchase the same exact generator in your video within the next few days while it's on sale. Thanks!

Is it absolutely necessary to cut the frame on the Champion generator? I have a new Champion 7000/9000 and I would hate to hack it up. Thanks.
