Girl you must have won the lottery because that's a tons of money expensives 🎉 , plus clearance in Jamaica please get me an update .I'm planning to purchase a 40ft container the smallest is running $3,000to $5,000 that my tax return 😂😂🎉🎉. thanks for the video it's motivated.

Lol... I have been planning for this for a while so I knew I what I was in for. Part 2 will be coming this weekend. 🙂 I would have loved to purchase the container but they are expensive bad!!! Hope you are able to get yours, they are great to have if you can find it for a good price.

Thx for sharing. Great content and presentation!! So considering the additional $$ spent on renting trucks & trailers, fuel, manhours and your sanity, wouldn't it have been more economical and less stressful to have paid for one of the other services?

No problem. The other options would not work for me due to the place that my items were in. The trailer would not be able to pull into my storage facility. I wish I was able to use one of the other options but this made the most sense for me.

Yea man….that’s why I ask because most ATM will not give you big amounts of cash, (if they are working at all) so I was thinking cash and card to pay what I expect to be a large bill…..

You’re welcome. Happy you found it helpful. I used both card and cash. It’s good to have both as some of the places may have machines that aren’t working or they charge extra for using cards etc…

Hello and thank you for your support and feedback. If you are a born Jamaican and been naturalized as a US citizen there is nothing for you to do. You automatically have dual citizenship. If you are a US born Citizen of JA decent then you can just use your parent(s) JA citizenship to apply for your JA passport and you will be good.

Thank you for your prompt response. Good to know because I thought I had to get additional documents in Jamaica since I'm a naturalized US citizen. Next step is getting a new Jamaican passport since it's expired!

Hi Jackie I love your content. When you got the provisional approval for returning resident how long did you have to complete the shipping?

Thank you @drtrishmom2 you have 6 months after you get the approval to get your items onto the island. There are some caveats to that though because they go by the last date you landed in Jamaica as the start of that 6 months. So if your application is approved in Jan. And you last Landed in JA in December. You now have 5 months left. That’s what happened to me. I tried to explain in a little more detail in my Returning Residents video. Hopefully this helps.

Got it. I’m not sure about that process. I’m thinking the cost would be cheaper as there is no goods to declare in JA and nothing much to do other than transporting the container to the port and it’s destination in JA. Very interesting though. If you figure it out before I do please share the result. I would love to know.
