PART 1 | DEMA LORE IN EVERY TWENTY ONE PILOTS SONG | Self-Titled & Regional At Best

Музыка

In this video, we will look for Dema lore in every twenty one pilots song. In part 1 we'll go through every song on self-titled and every song on Regional at Best that was not also on Vessel. These songs came before the Dema universe existed but they definitely helped sow the seeds of the Dema universe. |-/
I make other twenty one pilots videos like this one, it would mean a lot to me if you checked those out too and subscribed.

This is a good point, I also think about the vessel album and in the new music video for overcompensate where he takes on a vessel as Clancy to influence the people of demo for the resistance.

Be Concerned makes me think of Level of Concern "I told you my level of concern, but you walked by like you never heard." - speaking to Dema citizens 🤔

another thing that could be seen with march to the sea. the last line "once again i will be in a march to the sea" could be talking about (or an inspiration for) the cycle

also another thing I realized about march to the sea is that from what we know about vialism, we know that self destruction is the only way to paradise. we know that the glorious gone (I don't remember if the term glorious gone refers to citizens of Dema after they die or not) die, and we know that they commit suicide, but we've never been told how they die. like in what way. this is where march to the sea comes into my theory of sorts. there's this line of emotionless marchers who are walking down the sand and into the sea to fall asleep along the way saying "this line's the only way." could it be that the way the citizens of Dema die to become a glorious gone is by walking down the shore of port vial and drowning? when I was brining up this connection/theory to my sibling they brought up the song Drown by Tyler Joseph and they were like "hey, Drown." (implying the song) and although drown is technically not a twenty one pilots song they have tried to see how it connects to the lore. They also brought up the line "Take me up, seal the door, i dont want to march here anymore." and brought up the blue door from the icy tour and how it's (the door) connected to the lore, and how there might be a connection to march to the sea there.

Interesting 'Clear' lyrics.. he wished that he had 2 faces to prove his theory that masking his words (rapping in metaphor?) will prove to be more effective than yelling on the street corner (evangelizing?) I would love to see the conclusion to the new album. So many possible meanings ie addressing mental health/ the music industry/ organized religion and even conveying the gospel in a super creative way perhaps?

another thing regarding kitchen sink is that the logo is called the kitchen sink and tyler will never reveal its true meaning cause then it loses all meaning to him also for trapdoor, in overcompensate, the citizens watch him disappear before their eyes as he stops seizing clancy

I think in an interview he said that he's the only one who knows the meaning of the kitchen sink, and this gives him purpose to keep living, bc if he were to give up, no one else would ever know what it meant. Also, cool overcompensate connection |-/

i really like your content but i think us as a fan base might be reaching a bit on going back to the self titled and rab albums. i understand some vessel stuff being retroactively added in but i think we might have crossed a line. most of the self titled songs are about tyler’s relationship with god and his struggles and i don’t think we should twist that to try to put the puzzle together for our storyline. i could be very wrong and i am ready to accept that. but to me, self titled is just tyler being vulnerable with god and finding earthly metaphors to convey his feelings

Well, after all, it's all in Tyler's mind, so indeed it is like pieces that would make a puzzle in 2018. What I find very interesting here is that in the video you can see every little detail and then feel free to create your personal "head canon" of songs for the Dema storyline. I even have "Dollhouse" in my "Dema Lore" 😂

@FearlessConcern I agree with a lot of this video. Although I would like to add in a couple of new perspectives. I think a lot of this album is used later on to build a backstory for Trash the Dragon, who represents Hope. It’s like Trash is the real “god” of this world, represented by the Spaceship in March to the Sea, but gets shot down in Air Catcher and passes his “heart” (hope) to Clancy in Taxi Cab. Now, Clancy must create Hope for himself and others, which is what the rest of his story seems to be about. So later in Vessel and Blurryface, when Tyler talks about how he “killed a man in his head,” he’s really talking about the Blurryface part of him that killed the Trash part of him. The bishops then capture Trash’s dead body, which later obviously comes back into play in SAI. I know it may be a stretch, but this is my personal head canon and I think there is a lot of other lore to support this theory. I also think Trash’s dead body is gonna come back into play in this next album now that Clancy has learned Seizing.

not meaning to be rude, but imo no lore existed pre-trench era. anything referred to since that is just meant as a call back such as voldsoy meaning island of violence and the word vessel being used. only thing im confused about is the bishops line in doubt because the lore started after blurryface was released aka when there was no lore. especially going this far back
