Con ese torno podras hacer muchas cositas y aprender,con unas gubias mejoradas le vas a sacar mucho mas partido y algo para tenerlas siempre bien afiladas,te cunde el doble trabajar el torno,a disfrutarlo! un saludo!

No tiene mala pinta, yo lo he usado muy poco pero de momento me va bien, aunque el soporte donde va la gubia es de aluminio y ya se ha fracturado en una enganchada que tuve, me tendré que hacer un soporte mas robusto. feliz año compañero!

POR FIN! Resulta que mi error estaba en una incorrecta regulación de la “palanca de sujeción del cabezal móvil”, tiene un movimiento hacia arriba y giro que va presionando cada vuelta más fuerte hasta quedar fijo, y luego lo rematas con la rueda de mano para completar la inmovilización. Ahora solo (casi nada) me falta saber utilizar cada cincel para cada uso, y hacerme con un juego de calidad de cinceles. Por último decir que veo que el “soporte de la herramienta de mano” se raya mucho al trabajar apoyando el cincel. En fin, retiro todas mis quejas. Hoy estoy muy satisfecho de este paso. Solo me falta hacerlo como te sale a ti. Gracias por aguantarme.

Imaginaba que ese era el problema.. me alegro que lo hayas solucionado. El soporte donde se ponen las gubias es bastante malo, a mi ( y a otra gente) se me rompió y he tenido que fabricarme uno. Saludos y suerte! 😄👍

The spindle has a 18mm x 1.5 mm thread. I did not find yet an adapter to mount a chuck. If someone knows one ... I would be happy.

@@UliSpalthoff I found an adapter on Thingverse that you can get machined and it will do the job for you. However i have not been able to find an affordable chuck in the UK.

Hola, te recomiendo otro la verdad, a mi no me va mal pero esto no lo considero un torno, es mas parecido a un torno artesanal de esos que hacen con un taladro. Si, viene con un plato para sujetar piezas mediante tornillos. El reposa gubias se te acabará rompiendo como a mi, yo me he tenido que fabricar uno, así que eso tenlo en cuenta si lo compras. El punto mas positivo de este torno es que es muy pequeño y pesa muy poco, pero lo dicho, te recomiendo otro.

Buenas amigo, yo no tengo experiencia con tornos de madera, esta maquina ha sido mi primera toma de contacto al igual que tu, mi consejo es que empieces con las gubias que ya trae, sobretodo con la desbastar (la de la punta redondeada), aun siendo estas gubias de muy mala calidad, para aprender sirven, pero te recomiendo ir afilandolas con frecuencia ya que se desafilan muy rápido debido a la baja calidad del acero. Si despues de varios usos notas que te sigue interesando el torneado de madera entonces adquiere unas gubias un poco mas decentes ya que es bastante necesario. Espero haberte ayudado. Saludos

Hola de nuevo. Esta tarde he tenido mi primera experiencia con el torno de madera. He utilizado un trozo de madera similar al tuyo y el resultado ha sido decepcionante. El torno vibra muchísimo, el cono de la parte fija no muerde la madera ni pegándolo, y el mecanismo de la parte móvil no he conseguido ponerle el freno a pesar de las indicaciones de movimientos que trae. En fin un auténtico desastre que solo me anima a devolver el producto. Gracias por tu atención pero lo que tú has hecho con tu madera, yo ni lo sueño.

Discúlpame de nuevo, pero yo no consigo fijar firme el módulo de la derecha tal y como haces tú en el vídeo, siempre queda flojo (defecto de la herramienta?) y deduzco que la madera a trabajar tiene que ser casi perfecta, sin nudos e imperfecciones. Bueno puedes decir lo que quieras pero tú no es la primera vez que manejas un torno de madera. Te agradezco me ayudes, ya que si no avanzo tendré que devolver el torno a mi pesar. Gracias

@@Jmlopez2002 jamás había cogido una gubia antes de usar este torno,me tomo tu desconfianza como un halago, pero por favor, no vuelvas a poner en duda la veracidad de lo que digo porque me parece una falta de respeto. La parte móvil (contrapunto) debería quedar bien fijada y no moverse, hay que apretar varias veces (nose si lo estas haciendo así) y cuando notes que va duro ahi debería quedar fijo. Si la madera es dura, para que clave el cono deberías hacer un pequeño agujero a la madera para que sirva de guía y facilite la entrada. Si vibra mucho supongo que debe ser porque la madera es poco recta o porque no la has colocado bien centrada, entiendo que has fijado el torno al banco de trabajo mediante tornillos. Espero que puedas empezar a tornear lo antes posible, también cabe la posibilidad que alguno de los fallos que comentas sea por fallo de fabricacion (contrapunto). Si te hace falta más ayuda te invito a hablarme por Instagram e intentaré ayudarte mejor. Saludos y no te desanimes que lo conseguirás

Hola, si, se puede, puedes ver mis otros vídeos en ellos trabajo con un diámetro y longitud mayores. la semana que viene subiré un video en el que hago un cuenco de unos 18cm de diámetro

Puede usar un aprieto normal de torno? O solo el que viene?

Também comprei está máquina e apesar de gostar da marca, acho um pouco frágil. Ao tornear, o apoio das ferramentas que é de alumínio começou a dobrar acabando por partir. Para pequenas peças acredito que seja boa. Para peças de 25cm de diâmetro não acho boa opção.. mas ainda estou a descobrir a máquina

Eu também quebrei o suporte da ferramenta. É de muito baixa qualidade, mas eu fiz outro facilmente. Eu também continuo descobrindo a máquina. Saudações amigo

Just seen in comments it’s €99 so around £70 can buy secondhand machine for that would steer clear as anything bigger vibration will be huge issue wouldn’t want turn any bowls on it ok as start to get you interested but didn’t they make a proper lathe at one stage

@@roblaw2850 surely you are right in what you say, surely this is not the purchase of the year. For the moment i'm happy with this machine. I know it havent quality materials (the gouge rests broke, i have made another one resistant) But this tool have one particularity for what i decided to buy, its only 7kg aprox of weight, and it is very easy to store, and allows turning usefull pieces for me. Time will tell if the purchase has been satisfactory.

bunkerTools it’s great your testing and put up demo I’m also not pleased that you say the tool rest has broken that’s really not good generally park side tools are very well made that’s why when saw this little lathe was surprised at how it was put together. I have been Woodturning since age of 15 now I’m old git of 47 so 33 years and get upset at cheaper made lathes as can put some people off turning really want to encourage people into the craft as it’s incredible hobby and profession if you become good enough and get the drive and contacts to make it work for a living. I wish you well and do hope you continue in it I see from other vids your into making knives something I also do and love but keep up the turning and hope you move onto a slightly better machine

Is this lathe available in America?

I'm glad I didn't get one, very weakly built. OK as a toy but my chuck is 1.5kg on its own and would snap the spindle I believe.

Wouldnt get many bowls turned but great for pens

I agree with you

The stock tool-rest on these is too low - even if you adjust it to the highest point. If you make a simple steel T bar that holds the tool higher & closer, use that instead of the stock toolrest, the lathe will work a lot better for you. Without that modification, they are a pain to use - try, you'll see.

Buenas. Yo hace tiempo que adquirí un torno de madera de verdad. Éste parkside ya no lo uso. El mecanismo del contrapunto es muy siemple creo recordar, es una tuerca. Debería apretar a no ser que se te haya pasado el plástico de la maneta que acciona esa tuerca.

The disign is of this lathe is looking good. Same as there tools. I give it an 8 If you really can't do anything with wood and don't understand a good lathe than this is your tool to start! To use Professional, get of this channel, delete, escape and forget what you just watched!

El ruido que hace es considerable, yo diría que no es apto si tienes vecinos cerca. El ruido que hace es mas parecido a un taladro de cable que al de un taladro de columna, nose si te sirve esta referencia. En conclusión, hace bastante ruido. Saludos

Bueno, definitivamente voy a devolver este torno -es el tercero- porque la parte móvil que tiene una zapata de carril para frenar, no tiene firmeza de agarre. Al apretar con la rueda de ajuste el cono móvil se mueve y en esta situación no se puede trabajar. El tronquito de madera de cae. Creo que este torno estaría perfecto si se logra inmovilizar el cono móvil. Al menos, corrigiendo este problema y para pequeños trabajos estaría ok el torno. Lo siento bien porque ya lo tenía fijado a la mesa con sus tornillos.

Yo creo que no estás apretando bien la parte móvil, el sistema es el siguiente: apretas, después levantas la maneta de apriete y haces el recorrido contrario a apretar (pero sin desaflojar la tuerca), vuelves a apretar y repites los pasos hasta que el contrapunto quede fijo, hay que hacerlo una 4 o 7 veces hasta que queda firme. Me parecería muy raro que te haya venido defectuoso 3 veces. A mi me da igual yo no gano nada pero me gustaría que pudieras disfrutar del torno. Escríbeme por Instagram y te asesoro mejor

@@bunkerTools u actually make me expecting this lathe go on sale in my area. :) Lidl recently came 2 us. it looks a bit uncentered, though (spindle kind of 'wobbles' when turning). but 4 small scale projects it is okay.

Yes, it is a toy. I got it as a present. It is well suited to have some fun and to instill the wish for a real lathe.

Och ne, ganz ehrlich, das ist nen Plastik Kasten mit nem Motor. Das ist so Lüttich das Teil, da ist es viel besser, sich eine gute gebrauchte zu kaufen, oder einfach eine zu bauen

It is what it is, a very cheap starter, which you would grow out of quickly. So you are probably right it's not really worth the money if you actually want to do any turning past a light pull.
