Parkside - Lidl - £129 Airless Paint Sprayer Review and Demo of it in use.

Looking for an honest review of Lidl's Parkside airless paint sprayer? Well, you've come to the right place! I purchased this sprayer myself and put it to the test with paint. But here's the catch, you'll need to watch the entire video to find out how I got on with it and if I'll be using it again anytime soon!
Why spend a fortune on a mid-range sprayer when you can try your hand at spraying for only £129? I was curious about the Parkside sprayer from Lidl and wanted to see if it would hold up to my expectations. And let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey from the unboxing to the testing phase. But, you'll have to watch the entire video to get the full scoop!
I must give a shoutout to the manager at Lidl who helped carry the unit to the till for me. Talk about excellent customer service!
Overall, I was starting to be really impressed with the Parkside airless paint sprayer from Lidl. But, you'll need to watch the video to find out all the details. So, grab some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the full review!

    thanks for replying, let me know how you go on. I always ease the paint, even for airless... just slightly. If you follow how I set mine up, see how you go. Frustration that mine just stopped and I couldn't even get water through it to clean it out properly. BTW.. if you get on ok with it, after washing out with cold water then warm clean water.... if you're not going to use it for a bit, flush some white spirt through it. With White Spirt being a bit 'oily' it will stop the unit rusting up inside.

    Well I decided to just give it a go and see what happens. I managed to coat 2 large rooms, a tiny landing and a flight of stairs before it suddenly starting pressurising full tilt and marking its territory. I've seen now that when sprayers work they are fantastic. I managed to coat (note I didn't say paint, I was just sealing fresh plaster so didn't care about over spray etc) those 2 rooms and landing in around 20mins all in. It only took me around 30mins all in to mask up (held cardboard around the door frame as a shield so just masked up the rad and window, disconnected the sockets and lights. However mixing the paint down so that it would spray, but not run took about an hour! I'm tempted by the £200 ebaur, but think I'll stick to rollers as much as I hate them... Not looking forward to the fight with Lidl tomorrow, no reciept - Mrs slung it with the bag... I'm just going to have to play the "Here is the day I bought it on my bank app, and it's Parkside, your make, and it's dropped its guts all over my floorboards so no I wouldn't like an exchange" 😬😞

    Well at least you got a go with it... When you did spray with it, was there enough pressure from the unit to get an even 10" fan pattern without getting tails at the edges? I think if you can prove you paid for it they should take it back. Have you the Lidl app which had proof on there? Keep.me posted how you go on.

    @@ProfessionalPainterDecorator no lidl app but it says online they accept proof of purchase or receipt for faulty items within 12 months. Im only a month or so on since they went on sale and my banking app shows an amount over the amount of the sprayer a few days after it came out. I had a faint tail on the one side, to rectify I just held the gun slightly at an angle so the side with the line was further away so it faded out as overspray, which was fine for me in an empty room. I'm not an expert (first time spraying) but I've done some youtubing haha.

    @ProfessionalPainterDecorator

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi. No you don't get one included. If you look through my other airlines spray videos on the GXff, I show you using an extension and a Clean Shot!! These are used to stop paint spits you get from using an extension. As there is still pressure pushing the last bit of paint out the extension when you release the gun trigger. There's is a nack to reducing extension bar spits, but it's more advanced knowledge and with this ParkSide unit you may get frustrated with its lack of power when you may need more pressure spraying thicker emulsion paint.

The price was £129.00 including VAT. So without the VAT (tax) £107.50. LIDL will be making a profit on it. The freight costs and import taxes from China. So cost to manufacture is going to be possibly about £50? My gripe with these machines is always the safety element of medium pressure airless machines and injection injuries.

    I bought one too, was able to spray one room and then it stopped, not a drop of paint came out, took the whole thing apart and cleaned it, the pump piston goes up and down nicely. You can see this if you remove the suction hose and the coupling above, the ball comes out with the ring, rubber and spring, then you see the piston go up and down, I have put a warm water hose on it, everything runs nicely everything is loose but it no longer works, the piston of the pump with the ball is probably where the problem lies.... that's why I ended up on your video to see if several people have this problem and yes, I will go for a while investigate further, but if anyone has a solution, I'd love to hear it

It primed ok, I switched to spray and spend about 15 minutes holding the sprayer at a bucket. Nothing happened. The motor was running, it just would not pump paint. Then I tried priming again and it wouldn't prime anymore. After a few more tries of spraying/priming the selector knob came loose and didn't work anymore. Yours may work fine. I was unlucky. But you still need to connect it up correctly and know what to do to get it spraying correctly. Getting an even fan pattern is an art when you're new to spraying. Once you know what to do you'll understand the principles and be fine with it.

    I don't know about spraying but I do know pumps. All I can think is the viscosity of the paint because water went through so their was no blockage but paint didn't. All it can be is nozzle blocked or viscosity in my opinion. But it should push that through so I agree waste of money

    I bought the same one from Lidl preparing for painting the whole house today, after finishing first floor nicely with emulsion paint and I moved down to finish ground floor but the machine suddenly refused to spray, after many trying and can't solve, then I dipped the suction pipe and primed with clean warm water and hopefully the blockage can be flushed, and suddenly water paint started to come out from the machine bottomed (exactly the same as in the video) and I placed the machine to catch the falling liquid and noticed a thick layer of grease floating on top of water, and what you can expect is the machine is gone and can't work after that point. What a piece of expensive rubbish!
