Midway through our Indonesian adventure we snuck over to the Four Seasons Maldives for the most luxurious surf event ever, The Surfing Champions Trophy!
We got lucky with swell and scored some really nice waves at Sultan’s.
Invitees: Mason & Coco Ho, Joel Parkinson, Adriano De Souza, Conner Coffin & local boy Rob Hoob.
The entire gang goes back in time grabbing their Single Fins for an epic old school clash!
All surfboard info in end credit roll. Plus bonus single fin wisdom from Uncle Mike while he gets Coco ready for the event.

Crazy thing, I was just doing the same thing this morning making sure I know where I like it. It's 3 inches. To far back and the board wants to keep going , like doesn't want to finish the turn. To far up and it gets wobbley. How crazy I just pull this up and one of my idols is getting deep into fin placement. I feel honored to be 3 inches this time.

One word……..Joel….the others are incredible surfers …..but Joel has the power and it shows.
Nice to see everyone ripping on single fins. Like the olden days... but your boards probably have some concaves and more kick in the tail. Coco got that swallow-tail dialed in. Not so easy to turn as a triple-fin-thruster, eh?
