A most valuable trip. I thank you so much for the bit of history on the plantations in the Park Hill area. You are showing us, and teaching us more of SVG On KZread than when I lived there. Giving us details on all the places you travel is invaluable. You are letting me show off to my friends who live in SVG that I am knowing it more than they. Thanks again. And keep showing and telling us. Drive safely.

Thank you my brother for this video, i remember those areas, i use to travel from Mt. Greanan to park hil, l to south rivers, and up into Dr. Smith. the place has certainly changed a lot.if you had taken the right at the village junction, that would of taken you into Mt. Greanan, just before going into mt. Greanan you would of passed through an area called Fire bunn or Fire Burn. maybe you could try that in the future. bless up you and family.

Very glad you did this one, AEKD. You've covered so much ground that I'm familiar with! I was born in Park Hill, near to Villa Point, but I used to walk down to Colonarie every Saturday to the Post Office, just next to a Police Station. A Post Office later came to Villa Point and the woman who worked there was a friend of the family. She's still around in London, as far as I know. But there was yet another Post Office where you pointed out, when I left in 1965. There is also another more recent cemetery off the Three Rivers (Treevers) Road, near to the riverside, as I understand it. It's great to see that piece of relic from the arrowroot mill still there. I remember it in operation and eating madungo dumplings from the starch it produced. The water that powered it was from a canal that was cut all the way back to South Rivers. It used to be called Andrad Works when I was there. Probably from the man who used to run it. You didn't quite make it to South Rivers, where we used to walk to school every day from Villa Point. I remember an incident there, where the Deputy Headmaster was playing a game of cricket with some of the pupils. He batted a ball that went straight through the glass window of the bedroom of an upstairs house just next to the Power Station. A woman came rushing out, making a big commotion and demanding to know who did it. The Headmaster owned up and said it was him, and that he was sorry. The woman went very quiet and said: "is alright, we go get it fix.". You obviously did a bit of research on this one. Very much appreciated. Thanks. Take care.

I used to know a guy name Finton King who used to live in Villa Point near DaCosta and the Harry's. The Harry's lived right above the house of Finton King, she had four daughters, Eve, Gloria, Monica, and the older daughter I can't remember her name. Finton had another brother but I can't remember his name. That white house with a detached garage was owned by Duncan McDowall. The garage looking building is where he had a carpentry shop making furniture and coffins. There was a big gutter crossing the road from one side to the other carrying water that turn that big wheel that grind up the arrow root. It only processed arrow root. The owner was a man named Dada Andrade who lived near the mill. A banana bixing plant was also in the same place. What a small world. Sorry Finton, but I can't remember your brother's name.

The pink house near the mill you showed were the McDowalds. I went to Park Hill school with an Ann. Your reference to "dundo hole" this was a place in South Rivers. The mill was working in my youth, mainly arrowroot. The banana packing plant was there before it moved to "the central". My grandparents are interred at the Villa Point cemetery. My grandparents land is where the Cell phone mast is above Villa point. The post office was in the blue house below the road before you get to the Three Rivers gap. Doctor

It seems untouched and really fascinating what you learn on the way. Some amazing routes and rather interesting how some of the roads connect to each other. There is no one who can match how you can do a u turn in some of these tight spots. Yes you have the skill and only use amount of room that you need, fantastic. Its a pleasure watching this video and I enjoy reading some of the other comments. Great job 👍👍

Nice that you remember me, Bruno. Thank you. Didn't realize it was you until I read the other comments. Your mum had a shop just near to where I lived and I remember she used to leave you in charge sometimes. Everything is as you said, the name you couldn't remember is Valcina. She passed away some years back and the other sisters were over here for the Funeral. My brother's name is Manny. There are others, of course, but they may prefer it to be private. Dada Andrade -- I used to hear that but thought it was just a friendly nickname. My family used to call my Grandad Dada. I remember the overhead water channel at Park Hill. There was one at Three Rivers also, but without the wheel. A canal was cut from South Rivers for that one too, which went across the tunnel that AEKD drove by. That may have been the one used for sugar production in by-gone years, but it was derelict when I was there and only bats were living there in the old concrete structure. There was also a Stud Center nearby. It is indeed a small world!

I don't know if you remember Leckie Small, but he passed away either earlier this year or late last year. I am sure Leckie is not his right name. I read your comment just after you posted it but it occurred to me that we could be taking over the channel!! The bit of land that you referred to, where we lived, along with two other pieces (Cotton Valley and in the mountain) were sold after my parents passing, as it was the best way for the family to benefit from the will. I did hear of Leckie's passing and also his brother, Deus. They had a sister (Vern) who you will remember. She lived with a tailor called Buddy. She had a child and were both drowned when they were crossing a stream in the mountain on a donkey. It had been raining heavily and the torrent was too much for the poor donkey and they were all swept away. The other sister, Rita, was Springer's wife. Didn't know you were related to Dillon DaSilva. He would have been the man my mum bought the Cotton Valley land from. He had a Land Rover and always used to drive with a dog standing in the back of it. I remember Sydney too, his wife's name was Violet. They lived just down the road from us.
