Looks like somebody has to do a ''my boardgame collection''.

Yep - show us the goods!
Ah, that quintessential French drink, Cornish Lust
While I miss the gonzo style of vintage SU&SD, I must admit I also enjoy this new "cozy" phase of theirs.
"Like a corduroy shirt made of possibilities" *Matt Lees nods approvingly and quietly wipes away a tear of pride*

He's mastered the classic SU&SD oddly specific but highly appropriate comparison. So soon already. Honestly I'm proud too!

That accordion gag was brilliant.

I'm glad Tom managed to find public domain accordion music in time
This dude just folded right in.. almost as if he has always been here... Has anyone watched older reviews to see if he has been here the WHOLE time?!?

At this point, I am pretty sure that he is the next incarnation of Paul, like the doctor. That reminds me, that a review of the Inis Expansion would be nice

Tom, never change man. Never change
I am not going to dismiss an "allo allo" reference in 2020. Well chosen lads
Gotta admit, he's quite a guy! Good pick.
Thumbs up for Tom being a good choice.
Gotta love the bottle of wine with the Carcasone name on it! @1:20

Plus "Cornish Lust" and "Napoleon Brandy". Tom didn't have to buy them especially for this episode, they're just what he has left in his drinks cupboard by now.

beautiful easter egg
Is good, I like it. Lovely review yet again. The bit with the box being an accordion made me laugh a lot.
That accordeon bit at the start turned my frown day into a smile day, all by itself
_"Allo! Allo! Zis is Standarde Refarancois Pear calling."_
So, Tom, are you not allowed to hand out the "SU&SD recommends" seal of approval or are you not that into the game after all?
for everybody who wants to read the reasons why Carcassonne is a stone cold classic, remember that you can go through YT videos frame by frame with , and .

Sheesh Tom, from your own place to living in your mum’s garage? Tell Quinns you need a raise. You can have my 5$ a month donation.
The Ribena was a great touch!
That Allo Allo music... brings back good times :D
Can I just shout out that I really loves the background and aesthetic of this review! He did a wonderful job simply working with his garage! (Also...he’s just fantastic himself)
10:05 Well now I want a Dark Souls mod that just says DUMPSTERED whenever I die.
This was one of the highest quality SU&SD videos I have seen, and that’s saying a lot. Outstanding work and thank you!
the way you say the word plonk is very satisfying. I might make it my text message tone.
Played this for the first time last weekend and really enjoyed it. The whole playing in two halves is interesting, and as Tom says, you work hard getting it all ready on the first half and then have to immediately build on the fly in the second half when you opponent shows a blatant disregard for your precious planning applications.
I can’t stop staring at the “Cornish Lust” two words I never expected together.
Top Tier Intro. Alo alo theme was the cherry on top.
My goodness, that opening! And the subtitles!
Great work Tom! It looks lovely but maybe a little meaner than I like in a two player game so I appreciate the thorough review.
Great review. You're such a great addition to SUSD. An already perfect team - made better - how was that even possible??
When I hear the alo alo music playing and I start chuckling at the memories of it...
You had me at board game accordion - also I see that Carcassonne wine there Tom !
Great review, Tom! (excellent lil Los Campesinos! reference in there too)
The zoom out at the end : I love it! Hahahaha
thank you for the lovely cozy lighting - it made me want to play this game
In typical SU&SD style, this video was both entertaining and informative. It's like you've always been a part of SU&SD, Tom! The way you deliver some of your lines like at 12:10-12:18 sounds exactly like something Matt would say. Great job, I am loving Chess Month! My only complaint is that you've gotten me very interested in the game and it's not the easiest to come by!
This brought a smile to my face on a day when I needed it. The 'accordion' was comedic genius. Another excellent video, but my wallet is looking with worry at another 'game I want to add to my collection' added to the list.
Very nice review... You are quite a wonderful edition to SUaSD. Thx for this gem too, actually looking forward to the day I can play this
What an awesome intro haha xD love your review style dude!
You Sir, are the best!
Got this the other day on your recc and it's already one of my favourites, cheers young tom
I have an unopened copy of this on the shelf. Time to break it out!
Adored the Allo-Allo reference!! One of my favourites!!!
Really nice balance of humour, clear explanations, and review :)
Great overview, love this 2p game and all the tight decisions to make in such a small game!
i enjoyed so much your review! The lighting, your way of describing the game. For some reason it gave me some "Black Books" vibes haha, it could be the shelves (stocked with games instead of books), the dark room and the glass of "wine".

This may sound odd. But I find that I enjoy your content best in the morning. Just something about it gets me up and adam.
Excellent job with the set for this review.
A grate presentation would like see u style grow with each presentation . And deffenatly need a whats in my collection video soon
that "a boatload of fun" reference????? i fucking love you
Tom is lovely.
"It's good, I like it" Nice hat-tip to Big Daddy Lees Tom :)
This is my favorite two-player game. My friend who's a chess champion LOVES it because there's so many ways to play and all of them are fun. Great review.

Love the "allo 'allo theme playing lol
So many lovely comments here for you Tom. And may I just add...I agree! :)
Well done! Thanks for the teview
"Dumpstered." I need to start using this word.
1:19 Ah, but does Carcassonne feature Dante from Devil May Cry?
Loved the review. Here's to hoping you get yourself a beautiful...not garage...to review in, in the future!
I really like how the game board fits inside the box like that.
I love The Allo-Allo reference!😆
You guys should do a series about the Tiny Epic games.
Cornish Lust? Cornish Lust.

Great review!
HE HAS CORNISH LUST- best drink ever (continue with your lives)
Is that the big Hero Realms box behind you?? That's my favorite deck builder! :D Please make a review of that
Why is he drinking a glass of candle-milk? 😉 Loved the review. 👍🏻
It aint no Glenmore Chronicles II though cracked me up :)
I played this game some time ago. I thought it was fine, but nothing to write home about. Your review makes it sound much more fun. That then gives you a check of success on being a reviewer. Fine job sir.
Is Tom drinking neat Ribenna???

i had to do that take 16 times it was a sickly sweet disaster
I now want to know more about Leo and why he makes Carcassonne as good as it is
board game box accordian = the best
Tom slots perfectly into the space that Paul left behind
Carcassone is euroish and crunchy with expansions...even juicy... Btw this game looks fun...you could maybe try "small islands"..a very under the radar tile placing game...
Great video. Like the script and the host.
tried to get hold of some Cornish Lust but it's sold out everywhere😔
Love seeing Hyperborea in the collection. Underappreciated game!
That Tom is a cool dude. I hope he's having a good day
Great Video!
I just realised, that the bottle of red wine is in fact "Cornish Lust" strawberry liqueur... o.O Also: great review! Merci!
As someone who works in video, I feel "imagine I filmed b-roll of this" on a very deep level.
garage man with a blessed soul
This Allo-allo music is grand
The wine bottle is labeled carcassonne. Lol.
Self-Isolating Tom looks like Tom from later seasons of The Blacklist

Excellent review. Your Mic game could use some work though, sound was seriously inconsistent. Aside from that minor issue, great job!
i would like a BOARD GAMES accordion please
Yellow subs. Love it. A master at work.
Only 37 seconds in and this is AMAZING. Good job!

And that Carcassone list made it even better.
Why yes, I did put the video on 1/4 speed and pause it repeatedly just so I can read all 100 reasons why Carcassonne is a classic
Personally, I don't really see the similarity to Carcasonne (maybe the Safari one), as it seems more like Cathedral or a combined-quilt Patchwork, however good review. I don't think you mentioned the victory and end game conditions? I'd also recommend you clarify in the title that this is Paris Cite de la Lumiere (2019) rather than the Paris (2020) game by Kiesling and Kramer.
Carcassonne as a dexterity game is going to be the next thing I do with my friends
It unnerves me how much he looks like Daniel Radcliffe every time I watch his awesome videos... The same with the other 2, Gok Wan and Mark Watson. You decide the order
Merde! Ribena, tu me manques. Emma en Bretagne. PS. A litre carton of Ribena was my go to hangover cure in my very, very long distant student days - chock full of Vitamin C, sugar and great for rehydration. Also very good when you have a sore throat for the same reasons and it's so soothing as it goes down.
