    We've seen Paris face subtle racism on this show too. All of the girls on the show get asked out by multiple guys, except Paris. She's one of the most well-spoken, classiest and prettiest girls on the show, so I feel like it has to do with race. She's awesome and I'm glad she seems to have found someone special! Also I absolutely LOVE Robbie!! What a classy young man. These two & Inga are really brightening up the show.

    I agree. She is also very high vibe as well, her aura is beautiful - I think that puts her in a class of her own. So much of attraction is about our vibe and not at all about looks.

    @Andy Mac the fact is you were very specific in your description of her and now that I have asked you to clarify what you meant you are now trying to generalize your statement. No false assumption has been made. Paris has clearly been on the receiving end of subtle racism/micro aggression whilst on MIC. This is clear to see by anyone who is either a person of colour or by anyone who is educated where racism is concerned. Black and Brown people are not ‘unique’ and nor are we an ‘acquired taste’. If you’re going to be so confident in your statements about Black ppl then you need to be equally confident in clarifying what you meant what you are challenged.

    I don’t think it has to do with her race, iI think it’s more because she knows what she wants and she doesn’t want to fool around and or engage in a relationship that would go nowhere. Liv, Verity, and all the others that I don’t know their names are either confused, acting impulsively or chasing things that they know aren’t meant to be. They are literally all each others ex’s, thank God they’re not procreating because they would form a little consanguineous village of their own! Paris sends the vibe that she’s not into that and so the guys don’t try themselves because they can see that it’d be a lot faster to score with someone else then Paris. Doesn’t really have to do with race in my opinion.

    This is true about the small towns, I am a delivery driver and when I have to go to these small towns and villages the people are nasty and look at you like you're dirty, and even when they open the door they scream because you are black they think you're there to rape them. Then they laugh and say "sorry" when they realise you have a parcel for them. It's ingrained.

    Happened to my friend too. She's a great, nice and empathetic human being. She's clever and rich too. But when she visited her British in-laws they were so awful to her. She was pregnant at the time and they would comment on how they dreaded the possibility of having a mixed kid as a relative. She had two kids who became child models and are now straight A students and planning to b engineers like the mom. But her hubby's siblings are coming to her for money after decades of blaming her of taking advantage of their brother. So gross. I remember his aunt talking about worrying about the kids' skin colour and how difficult it would to find a man in the future with darker skin. I was so appalled. And I'm a poc so I would avoid my friend's racist family members like the plague.

  • @JY-qi5td

    @JY-qi5td

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@clareb1565 I'm black so I don't want to speak on OP's experiences, but I wanted to share my perspective. Ethnic is definitely an umbrella term, similar to BAME (black and minority ethnic). Black people have a very unique experience when navigating the world because throughout history, we have been pitted as the lowest in society, unlike some other ethnic minorities e.g., Asian American people in the US are often the 'model minority' and excel beyond their white counterparts who according to racism, should be at the top. And that designating of black people at the bottom of society has continued into the 21st century. Although ethnic minorities may face racism, black people face it in a very unique sense (e.g., I go to a top university in the US and other minorities are more accepted than I am because I am a darker skinned black woman, while my friends of other ethnic minorities are closer to whiteness than I am, and therefore are not treated as differently). Addressing people as black rather than ethnic allows our different treatment to be acknowledged and recognised, rather than grouped with other minorities, because our experiences are not the same as other ethnic minorities and a lot of the time can be worse (although I'm being slightly hypocritical because comparisons of trauma aren't always helpful). My explanation was a bit all over the place but I hope that helps x

It’s so sick to hear that it’s 2023, and people still judge others on their race, sexuality, and gender. Some people still get murdered, because of their race, sexuality, and gender. Paris is choosing to date white men, coming across more than expected cultural differences which is causing her anxiety. This is a self induced manipulative call she is putting out...date me because I am black and if you don't date me and say something about my race you are racist. @@JY-qi5td why do black people think they have a monopoly on grievance, and continue to whine and complain no matter how good their situation becomes? Jews actually have faced the most persecution by any group; do they ever whine and complain? Do they take the knee whilst earnings millions playing football? Do they continuously go on and on about the discrimination and difficulties they face as "people of yamakah's", and drive norms so that every TV advert or website has majority Jewish people? No, they get their heads down, win all the nobel prizes, create the wealthiest companies and push themselves and humanity forward.

    @@Overyvonne and the term p.o.c is hilarious because the colour black is not a colour it is the absence of light so the opposite of colour, so you should say people of "less colour" seen as they are not completely black and the people that have the most colour are white, not completely white so we should say people of "more colour" when referring to them 😉
