Paris Holds The Key (Hartford VS Broadway)

Музыка

Comparing the Broadway version of 'Paris Holds The Key (To Your Heart)' to the pre-Broadway version in Hartford, Connecticut. Compared to other songs in the show, this is probably the one that had the most changes made to it. The Hartford version is about twice as long as the Broadway version.
Some of the lyrics for the Hartford version may not be accurate, there are no official lyrics for this version of the song online, so I had to do it by ear.
Pop culture references in the Hartford version:
Josephine Baker was an American-born French civil rights activist and dancer.
Pablo Picasso was a painter.
Isadora Duncan was another American dancer who was famous for dancing in Europe.
Maurice Chevalier was a French actor and cabaret singer.
Charles Lindbergh was an American aviator who became famous for making a nonstop flight from New York to Paris.
Ernest Hemingway was a writer.
Django Reinhardt was a Romani-French jazz musician.
Gertrude Stein was an American poet, “rose is a rose is a rose” is a famous line she wrote.

Great both. I just wonder why the taked away Antoine de Saint Exúpery, who appears in the 1997 movie.

Hartford was cute and I love all the references, but it was just too chaotic. It was a smart idea to give the three leads new costumes and streamline it for Broadway.
