There are 2 lamas and a nun in 2020 that have reached Thukdam, look up tibet.net/?s=thukdam and you will see the stories. There is also research being done the last decade into this by approval of H.H. The Dalai Lama and Russian and Western forensic scientists are studying it. In the most recent case this year in August 2020, the Lama had brain activity, his internal organs were not decaying, and he had an oxygen level of 86. Arterial oxygen is about 75-100 with the average being about 95-100. Values under 90 are considered low and if you have 60 mm Hg you need supplemental oxygen. Although that lama was deemed clinically dead, he still had an oxygen level of 86! Thukdam is not a coma since the body has no pulse, no heartbeat and is considered dead, yet unlike a coma where the body is still alive but in a deep state of unconsciousness, the body of someone in Thukdam is dead, but their consciousness is still alive. Because of this, it slows the decay of the dying body while the consciousness realizes their new state and accepts their condition and works toward their enlightenment to a bodhisattva or their rebirth.

Just. Wow. X about a million. David Hawkins wrote about the spiritual significance of one earth master - ie Bodhisattva - upon the rest of us mere mortals in regular incarnations. One of these cats holds up millions and millions of souls in a very real way. This wasn't anything Hawkins invented, I think: rather, it was a truth he simply explained. Like Christ - his energy will never leave us and can be accessed via the help of many energies in angelic form, ones who are with us always. (Angel means messenger.) Here's to the holy people who live humbly in our midst, transmitting love in its highest frequency. Namaste. 🌊💙🌏🙏📿

Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche entered tugdam on 30 March 2012 and was cremated on 18 May 2012. I wonder did Rinpoche revealed emerging white and red drops before cremation?

How do you know if someone entered Parinirvana?

"Entering Parinirvana" is the Tibetan way of saying a great lama has entered final samadhi before leaving his body. And after his consciousness leaves his body, it is also the way of saying he has 'died'. Altho his consciousness has vowed never to leave this world for the sake of liberating other sentient beings and he will incarnate again, either in the realm of this relative world, or in another realm where beings are suffering. They consider 'death' to be like a vacation, plenty of time of remain in profound samadhi without having to worry about the body.

CHAKMA GURU : they have three enlightened bodies. They can reborn to the benefit the world and their other bodies can be in other places. They come and help and once their jobs are done, they will leave . They come in Samsara without fear, burden, without attachments and leave without attachments. That is why they are Bodhisattvas or enlightened beings. They have vows until Samsara ends, they will come back , but Samsara never ends that is why Avalokiteshvara is present to relieve sufferings if one has wisdom to seek him/her.

@@ChakmaNet brother there are three different enlightenments (Srawak Boddhi eg.Aarhant 2) Pratyek Boddhi eg. Pratyek Buddha 3) Samyak Samboddhi eg. Samyak sambuddha) .3) Samyak Sambuddha are those who take vow to be completely enlightened and to blossom all qualities in order to be a teaching machine , so that he can teach and benifit innumerable beings.And for that one has to go 10 bhumi (stages) ,every stage is an enlightened stage ,strong compassion is the only thing that keep there mind stream with samsara. This is how Sakyamuni Buddha too practiced ,he has capacity to became "Aarhant" at the time of Dipankara Buddha itself but rather then being enlightened himself he took a great vow to become Samyaksambuddha in order to benifit innumerable beings during his Boddhisatva to Samyaksambuddha journey.It is said that after he was given profecy (Byakaran) by Dipankar Buddha ,it took him 4 innumerable(60 zero behind is called innumerable) and 1 lakh eons according to Pali cannon to became a Samyaksambuddha.

I don't think Western Science disagrees with Eastern beliefs that this man is dead in all definable terms. He has entered a state of thukdam (no more heartbeat, his body assumes room temperature, he has lost consciousness, he will not respond to any input). However when in this state there can be no physical decomposition for up to one week, or in rare cases longer. This is without the use of any preserving agent. The lack of body or skin deterioration cannot be explained by Western Science at this time. How these monks can enter a state of maintenance that seems to continue after death remains a mystery. Only ECG scans will tell us if somehow brain waves can actually continue after death, and how this might effect the bodies rate of decomposition.

Living meditation practitioners, ordinary laypeople, who are absorbed in the jhanas when hooked up to EEG and ECG show no pulse and no brain activity. I'd say a person who can do this thukdam meditation, they probably won't have any brain activity at the time they are in that state.

Profound samadhi at that time precludes physical decomposition. Yogis can remain in that state for years if they want to and it is considered to be very desirable since they don't have to worry about the body anymore. They can do a lot of work on a more subtle level of consciousness without disruption. Many western students have also attained this state and held it for several days. Anyone can, if you have done the preparation.

Its not kept upright but when a high lama like him approaches death , they themselves mediate in this position . They are not to be touched and themselves shrink into little to none sometimes leaving nails and bone and they don't even rot or smell

Some meditate in meditation poster some meditate while in sleeping poster but to know if the master is in Thukdam or not is that there body doesn't start rotting and doesn't have stiff mortis for 1 days ,3 days,7, 10 some upto 45 days.

Does his body maintain a normal - or at least above-room temperature - temperature? That would be quite a chunk of scientific data to swallow if so. Of course, even it if it were so, the scientific materialistic community (NOT the "scientific" community) would reject the data.

the gross mind ceases to exist while the subtle mind still lives inside, at the centre of the chest, there still remains heat and the skin and odour remain fresh as ever for as many days the master who passed away wants to remain. Many Tibetan Lama's still remain and that quite is astounding for science.

The heart area usually remains warm, very warm, until the samadhi is finished. And the scientific community does not reject this evidence of control, by the way.

The faster thukdam ends the faster you will realize. The longer thukdam doesn't mean you are great.

Not all enlightened masters body remain so fresh nor does this determine whether they are truly enlightened. If they body is still fresh this greatly enhances the ability to take re-birth. My master Baba Hari Das was a great yogi who did not seek rebirth making his corpse enter a very advanced state of decomposition within a matter of hours and like a horror slowly opening his mouth wider with the upward gaze as if swallowing the cosmos. Perhaps he enjoyed the taste of the five elements!

To clarify using the body as a temple after departure facilitates the process of re-birth (skipping or spending less time in the bardo). However after entering complete annihilation such as my master taking rebirth becomes much more difficult, problematic or complex such as instead dividing into many manifestation. There are all sorts of endless subtitles and it's really impossible to know depending on ones relationship with such a master.

This is an advance stage where after 4 elements dissolves then consciousness dissolves into more subtle subtle state an enlightened yogi is always aware of al these stages and when it reached the primordial stage these yogi's recognize it and rest on it .

The Logic for God is irrelevant and illogical.Either he/she is all powerful but not Kind or All kind but with no power.If he/she was all powerful and kind then there would have no suffuring at all,why there is so much of differences among peoples ?Why would he create devil himself which will go against himself?
