PARD Night Stalker 4K vs the PARD DS35
We compare the PARD Night Stalker 4k with the PARD DS35 - both are in 70mm (5.6x). We can see what a improvement the 4K is - spoiler alert it is :)
This was filmed with a photo attached to the back of the scope, so we couldn’t do it at exactly the same time and the phone does react to the light of the screen - the actual images from the scope are better - but its all relative for this test

nice video explains the difference between 2K and 4K
Thanks for the review. Been running with the DS-70 for well over a year now and I'm very happy with it. Was thinking of going to the hikmicro 4K but after talking to the lads at the shooting range today i was informed that PARD now has a 4K variant. Couple of questions. Can the Pard DS Gen 1/2 obtain the 22 zoom with a firmware update? and when recording video footage with the 4k does it display the picture in picture if its being used when recording?

Excellent - no it’s more than software update - don’t think so others didn’t so doubt this will - my video was from a photo attached to eye piece
What type of IR does it have, LED or vcsel?

For our market in nz it’s vcsel
Hi, thank you for your video. I would like to ask you about the ' field of view '. Is it more or less the same or the 4K has larger / bigger field of view ?! Kind regards, Péter

Thank you very much for your reply 😊
Yes. There is better image quality in the Night Stalker 4k
Personally I don’t think there’s much in it whatsoever and some stills the 2k looks better but marginal 🤔.

The stills were in high wind too - the video is better - see other video for some. Plus the higher power magnifications which the ds35 can’t do

The higher mag is great it’s just a shame in the UK the IR changed from Vicsel to LED range is greatly reduced

Yeah thats due to some regulations in the UK - LED is referred to as gen2 at least in some scopes, so avoid that if you can
