Should we still apply to our ends? I was in the middle of prepping my hair for braids when I came across your video, I was trying to use grease again, had a mixture of sulfur 8, doo gro, olive oil, and castor oil. I was dumb enough to blow dry with that in my hair -in the process saw your video and freaked out immediately, re washed it (I’ve been using T/sal shampoo because I noticed my scalp seemed inflamed and has been bothering me lately) anyways now I let it dry without any product and I don’t know what to do 😭 I have high porosity hair. I wish you were my stylist 😭 you seem to genuinely care about hair health which is what I want most, I’ve been tempted over the years to just shave my head bald. I had a bad experience with a hair stylist, she was wicked..I believe she put something in my hair intentionally that caused it to fall out 😭 (she and her husband worked together and that last time I saw her, he was making comments about how long and beautiful my hair had gotten over the years under her chair, I was so uncomfortable with him doing that too but I think it made her jealous 😭😭) So yeah I’m so afraid of hair stylists now, but you seem to love what you do and care for people genuinely. I love how knowledgeable you are, I’m going to start following your advice I just don’t know where to start and now I’m stuck with what I’m even doing lol. Thanks for all your helpful videos! 🙏🏽🩷

So what is the cause of your alopecia? You may need blood work and if you have high ANA then you need to see a rheumatology doctor immunology doctor because the hair loss may be more serious. Like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, stills disease . I was diagnosed with sjogen syndrome . Hair loss in the middle and joint pains. Im young too.

Thank you for this video. I believe I have an overgrowth but haven't had the response I'd expect from multiple derms. It's more like "everyone has them" and since they're very hard to see w the naked I can’t prove it. They act like you're crazy when you start talking about parasites but they should know this could happen and cause hair loss. So frustrating! You mention a scrub and tool early on that helps this condition but I can’t seem to find the right links???

@IamCynDoll I only use shampoo and conditioner. I wash every 4-5 days. I've been to the derms on Day 1, Day 5 and everywhere in between. I wear it loose and have long hair. Had biopsy which showed Seb Derm and AGA but that one spot didn't show demodex so it's been written off. I find demodex often happens w seb derm. I have lost so much hair and eyelashes.

@IamCynDoll None. I've always had fine, thin blonde hair and would look like a mess w anything oily. My scalp is super dry so I've been tempted but I've never even used some of their Seb Derm prescriptions because they are oil based. I've even changed my diet to reduce sugar, yeast, etc. I also have alot of allergies to products, too.

Shampoo ,conditioner, rinsed out completely. Next leave in conditioner, heat protection, and serum only if needed. Nothing else is added to my hair until I shampoo.

Shampooing the hair has nothing to do with race. I recommend once a week but atleast every two weeks. Anything past that will lead to inflammation. If you shampoo more than once a week deep condition bi weekly.
