An unbelievable album that brings back so many memories. Even Dave Grohl says this album is a pivotal moment in music history. Paranoid Android is a masterpiece, and live, just WOW! Thanks Mike and Dev for this wonderful 29 minutes of bliss.

Thanks for looking into Radiohead. I came late to the party. I didn't know much about them until 2010 when a band that I played in wanted to learn "Creep". I did the one thing that would get me kicked out of any RH fan conversation; I bought the Best of Radiohead album. All Radiohead albums should be listened to as separate experiences. Anyway, I really enjoyed the song "There There" off the Hail to the Thief album and did a deep dive. 13 years later I collected all of there work and have them on my Mt. Rushmore of bands (The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd being the others). While they are often compared to PF, I feel they mirror the Beatles. They are great live but do a lot of studio experimentation and change significantly from album to album. I hope you enjoy the group and do the entire catalogue. Their work requires multiple listens to get the full impact. Take care,

Their entire discography is diverse and fantastic they really remind me of the Beatles more than any other band their evoloution in sound is so Beatle-like. They become much more intricate and complex musically as they evolve and if you are into theory they are very unorthodox and unique they just kept getting better and better.

Interesting selection. I would not have liked Radiohead during the 90's but, over a long period of time, I have learned to appreciate music differently than I used to so . . . thank you for sharing! Take care and be well, Liam.

Nigel Godrich is really the unofficial 6th member of Radiohead, a fantastic sound engineer and a co-producer essentially. He is also a member of The Smile, Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood's 'side project' band who are well worth checking out.

So happy you two are doing this album! I love this album deeply. I once read a review of this that described the overall sound of the record as something to the effect of ‘chrome and shiny white ceramic’, and I think that’s a perfect way to capture the vibe. Have fun!

my pick for best album of all time, though zeppelin still tops my list for best band.. i know there's comparison with pink floyd, but i felt the sounds in this album have so many similarities with zeppelin, like timestamps, layering, ad-libs, filtering, and new sound experimentation i can imagine a hypothetical late 80s zeppelin made such album ahead of time, with their experience in creating "no quarter", "the rain song", "poor tom", "over the hills & far away", and more, with JPJ magically experiments with new electronic sounds, as he did in the past but then again, what do i know about music 🖖

I can understand my parents now that I am as old or older than they were when I was a teen back in the late 60's and 70's. Sorry, this is not comparable to Zeppelin or Pink Floyd. This, to me, was more like fingernails on a chalkboard. I'm sure this was what my parents felt my music was to them. To each their own.
