An experienced pilot would not buried his RH brake and would have had the balls to pay for his F*** up. This is exactly why no one borrows my rigs!!!!

During my training I nicked the loaner equipment's prop in a bad takeoff attempt. My instructor fixed it himself. Before training my instructor said every student gets one prop. Luckily I did not damage it again....but, I was willing to cover any damage I caused. This guy was a real douche....you ALWAYS pay for damage you do to other people's equipment.

I think the best thing to do is when you allow someone to demo your equipment would be to take some kind of deposit and make them sign a paper that if any damage occurs to the equipment it will be taken out of the deposit

Same happened to me with a visiting pilot from England. He destroyed the frame on landing and ended up refusing to pay for it. More than $2600 in damage…

I fly airplanes but want to get into paramotors, step on the high wing seems to be the same for paramotors as it is for planes. Not sure if it woulda helped. But seemed so.....tbh tho they should have talked about the "insurance" situation before hand. Sad to see them screwed out of equipment.

If u allow a man to fly your gear it's on you to qualify the pilot and decide for yourself if the risk is worth the possible benefit. 😉
