Layering clothing and choosing mismatched socks is driving me absolutely wild. Sims could've done that a decade ago, but noooooo, I have to wait on this indie game that is probably gonna take two years! As long as they keep providing updates the community will stay calm for the most part. People usually only get upset when you go completely silent or constantly delay the game

I see a lot people talking about how Maggie looks at her mismatched socks with displeasure, but I haven't seen anyone suggesting that her displeasure could be a hint at personality traits. After all, if every Para was upset about mismatched socks, then people who wear mismatched socks wouldn't relate to their Para. So maybe Maggie has a 'proper' or 'serious' trait or maybe only Para's who have 'playful' or childish' traits would react to mismatched clothing happily. Everyone talked about Sebastian being 'brave' enough to jump into the pool from the roof, so I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet.

They are nowhere near working on implementing a trait system or 'live mode' gameplay, but they did say that they have a long list of traits being considered.

@@TCO_404 Well, yeah. The game is still very early in development. And with an indie dev studio helming this, I am thinking we will first receive alpha or early access with build mode and barely functioning live mode. However, they promise upon full release to have full life simulation; as 'full simulation' as can be reasonably expected that is. If we go by their steam page, we can see they are promising at least Sims 4 base game + a couple packs level functionality with much better simulation interactivity and build mode as well as an open world, upon full release, whenever it might be.

She's moving so fluidly and SITTING ON THE FLOOR and when she got up the skirt actually moved like fabric would along her legs moving instead of her knees just clipping through the skirt which OH WHAT A SIGHT TO SEE when you're used to the solid clothes in the sims

What Sims are you playing? The clothes in Sims 4 are definitely not solid and move pretty much just like this when changing positions from sitting to standing etc. Unless you're talking custom content which isn't EAs fault.

I dunno about clipping but moving like pants with no gap would be my description of skirts and dresses in TS4. They add minimal detail to the actual fabric movement. Unsurprising when you remember the sims have flippers not feet with toes

Lbh, we only started murdering our Sims to get ghosts, and Paralives won't have them, so I have a feeling we won't be rushing to end any lives. Especially if they just give us renameable tombstone objects to fill up our graveyards with.

Big flex, what the other game has lost sight of is that its the small details that matter.

I like the fact that her hair is the same length as before just in a different style. Like I hate in sims they hairs dont correlate very well. Like if they have short hair for everyday, there's no short haired formal styles so I have to give them a long hair updo, and just pretend they got extensions 🤣

Omg this!!!! I'm so meticulous about my sims having similar hairstyles that just look they they were put up, or straightened for a party- like you would not believe how much I care about the length 😅 same for sleeping, always need to have a messy everywhere hair

I was like a mom whose firstborn child did something for the first time: Aww, she's sitting on the floor~ Ooh, the way she rocked back and forth was so cute~ OMG, she put mismatched socks on! Wow, she put on leggings before taking off skirt! Aww, she's checking out her outfit~ Also, the music and the room create a peaceful and fuzzy feeling, I love it! And Maggie looks even cuter than the last time I saw her, so much more detailed and lively.

I like the new model, the old one had some funky proportions and the eyes looked a little fish eyed to me. This one manages to mix realism and cartoons quite well. The Sims 4 Sims always seemed a bit too uncanny valley to me.

This game looks so beautiful and the best part is that EA can't ruin it. All they can do it to continue ruining The Sims after they destroyed Maxis.... by giving us endless overpriced DLCs. Please take your time with your game, only the concept by itself is gorgeous.

If people are only complimenting this game because of their fall out with sims 4. Then the lifespan of this game is already doomed before it’s released. Allow this game to stand in its own 2 feet, without the relation to a popular franchise. I don’t see the constant comparison being a gain for Paralives in the long run.

@@h0rseradish51 Do you even know how game development works? A year and a half ago we had no videos on parafolk and their customization. Almost as if game creation needs to take stages in development 🤔🤔 But mean talk aside, you can go and check out the Paralives website, where they state that they started working on live mode&gameplay approx two months ago! I'm sure two months from now and the Paralives game is gonna have a more complex gameplay than the Sims 4 has so far...

I mean look at this! YOU CAN LITTERALY WEAR TWO DIFFERENT SOCKS 😭

I still can't process the fact that you can wear different socks on each feet like WHAT

I'm a simple man, I see Paralives and I click

I like how the para seems to be following the cursor with their eyes. What a nice detail :D I can also see improvements on the furniture 3D models.

Just one piece of advice for the menu design.. When she puts on the leggings under the skirt, they should not be in the same "bottoms" menu. Instead, each layer of clothing should have its own menu. You could have a Bottoms category, but when you click it, give the option for base layer and top layer for example. This would be the same for jackets (top layer) and shirts (bottom layer). This helps with the clutter and organizes based on function, which I'm sure many would enjoy. Or the alternative would be to click "bottoms" and have submenus pop up for each different type of bottoms. Jeans, Leggings, Skirts, Shorts. From those submenus, you could then click a widget to apply categorizations such as formal, athletic, latin, asian, club, etc. I know you're still very early in development and may intend to add these features anyway, but please don't overlook the importance of this. Scrolling through a massive wall of clothing items and losing track of which ones may have been decent is a huge pain in Sims 3 (what I play). Also the ability to hide certain clothing (or building/furnishing) items that you don't like so they don't clutter your menu would be a big bonus, and the ability to favorite items and have that be a categorization option. Anyway, I love the work. Wish you the best!

I don't know if you already have but you should share your idea on steam or reddit where their CM is present. Also, the separation by layers was present in the ps2 version of the sims 2. Idk why EA didn't kept it.

I love the cartoony look of the characters

Imagine that we can customize outfits right in-game anywhere! We don't know yet but this could be live mode and you can just customize their outfits!! Freakin awesome! 😆

Oooooh I love the animations! That look of annoyance when she notices her sock and her reactions to her overall outfit look amazing. I can’t (but I will) wait for this game to come out!

when you turn her and she keeps her eyes forward it gives the effect that shes looking in the mirror I love that!!! Happy Holidays Homies

paralives development is the one of the few goods thing in 2020 also look at the shadows of snow falling outside the window, it’s so heartwarming to see how much effort goes even to the smallest of details 🥺

The fact that you can wear 2 different socks at once is amazing

She looks so alive! The idle animations look so natural and good! Maggie’s model also looks a lot better than the last time I saw it. The Mitch match socks thing is such a cute idea too!! The outfit layering (the pants and skirt) looks interesting and I hope there won’t be too many clipping issues with that

Seriously super excited about the game! The environment is beautiful and the character design fits perfectly. I also really like the more natural movements the character makes, along with her hair flowing. Seriously beautiful work. Will there be terrain editing available? Like the ability to change elevation and such? If so, I’d like to make a suggestion.. I haven’t seen it done but I would love to see it happen. When editing the terrain, any area that goes down into a valley or is lower than other areas on a lot can have the option to fill it with water and create a natural pond/lake shape. Maybe even the ability to create waterfalls, add fish/frogs etc. any life sim game I’ve played doesn’t have any option like that. I would love to see a way to create a more natural looking body of water on property. I’m already pretty much sold when this game releases. Everything so far looks incredible, you and your team are really doing great.

The character looks to be rendered better or just looking even better overral. The smoothness to the way she moved looked so good! Every movement seems so casual but adds so much life to her.

This game is just absolutely stunning, I am in love with the animation style, and you already have so so so many things that the sims 4 doesn’t or never has. I really do think you’re gonna be better than the sims, and maybe more successful, keep up the good work, I cannot wait to play this game some day.
