I absolutely love how the girl para gets hungry and autonomously goes to the fridge and grabs a light snack she can eat quickly - an apple - rather than grabbing a bunch of ingredients and randomly baking a cake which is super time consuming

Yeah, in the Sims the deaths are so exaggerated you can barely feel bad for the characters, in this case they at least make you feel like something bad has happened for sure

idk, it was very well done and the way he moved was pretty natural, but it looked like he more just decided to lay on the floor instead of actually falling from weakness, like he's just having a stomachache or something. still a nice animation tho

I'm so excited for this game! That animation is just perfect for the aesthetic and the music is so calm and relaxing. I hope Roger becomes a townie so he has a chance to live on.

If you laugh each time ur sims die, then u must really hate ur sims. I dont want my Sims to die, and when they do, it impacts me still a lot, no matter how over the top the death animation is. I hate losing my sims.

@@Oozaru85 you hear a lot of people say they actively enjoy torturing Sims and laughing at their pain lol so that's what I meant when I said that. The reason why they do it is probably BC of the funny over the top animations. Which is why I quite like the more dramatic, sad ones so that players feel more of a connection and an impact with the character's death, you wanna take better care of them so they don't die

I can't wait for the half hour reaction breakdowns of this thirty seconds clip.

I love how Roger slowly gets himself to the ground- putting his hand down for stability, getting on his knees, and then finally laying down. It’s a really well done animation! Feels a little grim and weird to say but I’m looking forward to seeing more different death animations! Also love how Kim just gets enough food to not die, letting you go and make her make a meal of your choice if you want to after. Enough autonomy so you don’t have to worry about them too much, but not too much autonomy where they get annoying cooking a full meal whenever they’re a little hungry! Love it!!

I'd say as funny as it is. they might disappear when they die, medical or mortuary personnel could be summoned (or called) to collect the Para. Or, (For Halloween, whether the event or. a OPTIONAL DLC, a Mythological Being, such as Thanatos/Death may show up and take them into the afterlife)

I can't wait to see how Pregnancy and Baby systems work! Building a Family Tree is my favorite part of Life Sim games.

I do love the over-the-top animations in The Sims, but this definitely matches the vibes of Paralives better 👍

Same when they first announced it I had just finished high school and now I have just graduated college and I'm getting my first job. But at least they are taking their time. They are an indie team, so of course it will take longer than a company with a huge team.

​@@SimlikeitHotRight? Why are these guys taking so long? EA immediately gave us a game! They were smart enough to ignore unimportant parts of the game like pools, toddlers, basements, ghosts. In my opinion, the sims 4 was better as it released. I hate pools and basements. Having a game with no toddlers made it worth $60 at the time. Even though paralives has like 15 developers, they're taking too long!! I think they need to do what EA did and just get rid of unimportant features like pools or basements. I hope that when the sims 5 comes out, they take out the child, infant amd toddler stages! It makes the game cleaner and run better. I hate when devs "take their time" to "optimize the game". YUCK! EA never bothered with optimization, that's why we always have so many cool kits coming out!

Thank you for breaking the music down to just beats and fading them out for Roger as he fades from this mortal coil, that was a beautiful display for him. If there is a grave yard in game can you please add a stone specifically for Roger and all other test characters who die on video? Would be a cool easter egg I think.

You know what Roger, that's *exactly* how I would die of hunger. I unfortunately tend to get lightheaded and need to lower myself to the ground, which my mom has lovingly labeled falling in slow motion, and it looks nearly identical to that. Cheers on the realism!

just hope this game dont have the sims4 problem of im hungry but my roommate is cooking a 4 person meal of pasta bolognese (2 person house hold). ... Im going to make 8 plates of hamburger (because I dont see that my room mate is cooking). 20 min later because the pasta dish got put on hold because roommate needed to go to the bathroom while waiting on the cutting board space to get free. we currently have 2 unfinished sets of 4 plates/servings of pasta bolognese, 2 hamburger sets of 8 and 1 plate of microwave meal been eaten.

The animation and expressions of the paras make you feel for them. Nicely done. I like that it's not over-the-top.

Ah poor Roger! But is it bad that I was paying as much attention to the plastic lawn chair being on it's side, as I was at Roger dying? I had to wonder how it got that way, did he turn it over, as he was maybe getting up to die? Also I love the idea of having those plastic lawn chairs in the game, it was such a pleasant surprise when we were first shown them a while back, I think we have all had one at some point in our lives! Also would love some of those metal ones with the plastic strips across them, the ones that you also would have in the lounge chairs as well, lol! Both are so common in real life, but we have NEVER had in The Sims games! Also metal chain link fences would be so so wonderful, another thing we have never had in The Sims, sure TS4 has ones that are kind of like that, but only for decoration, not for normal use! And they aren't the normal types most homes have, well in North America anyway!

As much as i'm desperately excited to play Paralives, i'm glad you guys aren't rushing to meet a deadline or release date. I'd much rather wait longer for a polished and finished product, rather than play a broken mess that has to be continuously updated with more content.

This game looks SO beautiful my God... the graphics are superb and the animations are great! Will the animations be more detailed in the final version for when the paras interact with objects? Like for example the fridge, will the actually open it? I just want the gameplay to be as great as the visuals are.
