Lovely video. A natural intro into life in Asuncion. Loved it. Bless you
How beautiful is Paraguay.
Thank you for sharing this video. My wife and I are looking to move to Paraguay too. :)
Awesome video. I am living in Colombia and my spouse visa is about to expire. I have applied online for a residency visa and am being jerked around by the government who claim that I have not submitted all the forms. But I verified that I have submitted all the forms. If I get any more problems I will say adios and take what I can to Paraguay. This video is extremely valuable to me.
Though I had followed your channel before but guess it slipped by good to see your family back 👍🏽
This was a great video! Thank you for making for us!

We moved in 2016...but we haven't been here a straight 4 years due to having to travel back and forth for family deaths and other business recently.
Are there salons to get a wash and set done? Like Dominican salons in the states
@paradiseinparaguay7714

So there are definitely salons here of many different levels. Don't know about what Dominican hair salons do in the states, as we've never frequented ANY Dominican hair salons - anywhere, lol...but here in PY, there are a range of hair services in general.
Any recommendation on how to get residency?

After you've researched the documents you need to bring from your home country, you could either come in person and go through the process yourself at little to no cost IF you know Spanish... If not, then you'd need to find someone here to walk you through the steps who speaks Spanish. Doesn't necessarily have to be a lawyer, just someone that can read and follow instructions in Spanish. If one prefers to use/pay a lawyer, then of course you'd start there with finding one you're comfortable with. We don't have one to recommend, as the person who helped us finish the process was a personal acquaintance. But one thing you could do, is try researching some public Facebook groups that cater to expats that moved/trying to move to Paraguay. There are several pages that I've came across in the past from just doing a simple search on FB and the topic of lawyers and residency come up quite often. I've also seen immigration lawyers directly post their info on those pages as well. I hope that helps!
I'm from Nigeria, how would you rate your lifestyle and food?

In general, our lifestyle is very easy going and low stress. We have a lot more freedom and time for our family and to do things we love, and because we don't have to be work-a-holics just to put a roof over our heads here (unlike in some other countries), we're very content. We love the naturalness and freshness of the food. Everything is locally grown (meats and produce) because the country is so small, therefore the supplychain is pretty short which decreases the chances of contamination. It's unheard of to have a spinach or lettuce recall due to some strange deadly bacteria here, thank God! And in general, the food is not genetically modified. Also, all the cows are grass-fed and it doesn't come at a premium to indulge in it. In fact it's very affordable, something most meat lovers can appreciate. When it comes to Paraguayan traditional dishes, they are pretty tasty but when we want to indulge in dishes we're use to from the U.S., it's not hard to find most ingredients in the stores to prepare whatever we like. But on the other hand, for people who are into all organic products though, there is a lack of that here...as well as a few other things, but again, most things can be found.
How much is it to get a wash and set and tips on nails?
@paradiseinparaguay7714

I'll let you know when I get one, but I've been taking care of my own hair and nails as of lately. But I'm SURE it'll be about a quarter of the cost (or less) than whatever prices you would find in any state in the US.! I'm just saying!
How is the internet in Paraguay and which is the best place to live to escape flooding?
@paradiseinparaguay7714
3 жыл бұрын
The internet is pretty good and stable. Generally, those who are in cities and towns can have access to both wire and wireless internet which is also available in high speed. As far as flooding, the generally rule of thumb is to just stay away from low elevation areas which are usually near the rivers.

Paraguay safe country?
@paradiseinparaguay7714

1000 times safer than the U.S., where we're from. The most we worry about here is petty theft. Violent crime here on the other hand is very low.
