[Correction]: Paul Levine has officially retired and was not representing the New Testament Church of God as identified in his title. He spoke at the launch as a member of the Windrush Generation.
Paraffinalia 75 is officially open! We kicked off the month-long exhibition this past weekend with a special launch event to celebrate the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.
The launch event was a huge success, with over 250 people visiting to check out the exhibition’s unique displays and atmosphere.
Several notable figures came to help us launch the event, including the Mayor of Kirklees, Councillor Cahal Burke and several members of the Windrush Generation.
The Windrush generation symbolises courage, resilience, and solidarity. Despite adversity, they've made significant contributions to our communities and to British society. As we honour their legacy, it's critical that we acknowledge their struggles and continue to celebrate their influence in shaping our diverse borough of Kirklees and the UK. It's our duty to ensure that the injustices they faced are not repeated.
Paraffinalia 75 is open to the public every Wednesday to Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm at the Piazza Centre, Huddersfield.
