Paradise Lost are a Gothic Metal Band that formed in 1988 in Halifax England. They are helped develop the death-doom genre and the Gothic Metal genre, because it was just beginning in 1988. On one of their albums they included Devin Townsend, Jamie Muhoberac, and Lee Dorrian. The Current Members of Paradise Lost are: Vocalist: Nick Holmes, Lead Guitarist: Gregor Mackintosh, Rhythm Guitarist: Aaron Aedy, Bass Guitarist: Stephen Edmondson, and Drummer: Waltteri Väyrynen. Nice one. Paradise Lost needs these kind of up-tempo songs to mix things up a bit. This is a gem. Great hooks, riffs and vocals.

Medusa is the album that actually reeled me in to paradise lost.

Always loved PL. The harmonies are amazing.

I'm with you since 1991. From Gothic. Love your music. Fantastic reborn on last two albums. Great, epic, obligatory for all ! Honey for my ears. Hail from Poland.

In my opinion, they go further that making a revival of early 90's period with this album, and they succeed. They explore a darker side of their identity, and they sound louder than before.

After 20 years of experiments, have returned to their original sound, I'm happy. Paradise Lost Great!

It's strange because even though I'm generally not a massive fan of the return of death growls since The Plague Within, I can't stop hitting the replay button (loved Beneath broken earth on the last album too). Just goes to show what great quality songwriting and musicianship PL possess.

Same here, I love the style they had on Tragic Idol and Faith Divides Us. Nick had his best performances ever there and the quality of the songs is just stunning. They really crawl into your head and stay there forever..... Then again, when I listen to songs like this one here, I just love it. I guess the turn back to the early sound was obvious (Bloodbath and Vallenfyre). They still write awesome songs and that's what matters 😜

I just realize i've been listen Paradise Lost for 20 yrs. Can't wait for Medusa.

This is so great for a "normal length" Paradise Lost, Death/Doom with speedy catchy riffs and some Gothic Metal cleans here and there, I'm so hyped for this album!

Well i don't think any album can surpass the melody that some of the tracks had like for example : shadowkings,yearn for a change,hallowed land etc.Great mini solos and the melody so gothic.Hope this album will bring the nostalgia i yearn for.

The Plague Within was amazing, but Medusa sounds like it will deliver on all fronts.

Listened to two tracks of the new album so far and it sounds pretty good, pre-goth/experimental Paradise Lost from the 90s.

Paradise Lost never disapoints and it is like wine. It tastes llike something between Gothic, Icon and One second. I can see some Draconian here, or Lost Paradise. Oh... It's just Paradise Lost!

The character in the video "Honesty in Death" appears at 2:51 in the Blood and Chaos video. In the fight scene.

I've seen a good deal of fights like these in the streets of Bogota, the city seems to devour some people's souls, bodies and brains, whatever remains are left, roam the streets as walking dead. A harsh reality indeed.

Solid tune and, production-wise, the approach is a lot more stripped down than on the last couple of PL records.

I kinda like Believe in Nothing, although it's a bit bland compared to their other stuff but it still as a few wonderful tunes. but then i have a very varied taste in music, not many PL fans listen to other styles of music.. i listen to pretty much everything. so yeah i can see why 'fans' dislike the non death metal stuff.
