And he treats his fan base with such responsibility !What I loved most about him was how he treated his fans like members of his own family! So courteous and modest ❤ He truly is an amazing man ❤ I can call him a miraculous man!

Assam and Assamese people and culture is so so beautiful and diverse. People are always most welcomed and down to earth❤❤❤❤
Papon's voice is a beautiful blend of Bhupinder Singh and Hariharan Sir. "Dard Patharon Ko" is a perfect example of that.

I am an Assamese brahmin, been mistaken as bengali by everyone whose not Assamese, even bengalis find it hard to believe i am Assamese. But its true we are so similar even though Assam is in northeast India but we share more similarity to Bengal and Odisha.

Seeing this episode many times over… and still loving it . after the recent month long Bihu by Papon it will be interesting to know his experience of performing bihu in 16 towns …. Similar Prakrit. Most probably a descendant of Magadhi Prakrit. Magadhi prakrit evolved and changed it's form to become Kamrupi Prakrit. Which eventually became the modern Assamese language. In a very brief and generalize manner.

I just love his voice texture
It was a trip down memory lane when Papon da was talking about his early Delhi days, part of the Asian Underground ! As a 90s kid while we were growing up in the early 2000s, his career was also growing up and taking shape as a musician. Delhi's exposure (meeting with Indian Ocean, Midival Punditz,Karsh Kale, Parikrama, Ajay Prasanna) has been a vital chapter in his musical career !
