Funfact, he was in the original and if you donated all 300 coins, you wouldn't be able to receive all 999 coins because the game caps at 999 so you need a perfect 0 to reclaim your reward.

With the way coins are easier to obtain and they no longer capping at 999, spending the 300 on him is a no brainer in the remake. In OG I would usually not spend max on him as at that point I would already have most stuff I needed and be almost at max coins so those 999 were just "200 or 300" at the end

Well to be honest, this guy just became a coin billionair. Measly 999 coins is probably nothing to him at that point, he could easily give you 9999 coins too, especially since your coins help him to even find that oil. (in theory)

As soon as i saw how little i needed money and how easily i got over 300 coins and recovered the amount i gave it in chapter 2,i stopped worrying,less than halfway through the game money became kinda irrelevant,in fact,i wish there was more stuff to spend money at,i ended up with 7k coins

i found this game called day of dragons and theres a dragon called the shadow scale and the base dragon looks like garo and i was confused on if he based his garo off it or if it was the other way around and the copied him. if they are copying him he should know!!!!
