When I was 13 I made a plane, tossed it in the air at the park, it caught an up draft. Two days later I found it in my school yard over 3 miles from it’s original spot. Identified because it was made from one of my notes and had my writing on it. I still remember thinking nobody would believe me. That was 44 years ago.

It's interesting that something as simple and commonplace as paper airplanes can literally bring countries together. I mean, how cool is that? Out of all the things that would bring so many nations together, it's a sport that most people wouldn't think of, or even classify as a sport. No politics, no arguments, just straight-up shake-hands competition. No 20-billion-dollar opening ceremony needed.
