There is a Honorary Cardinal in the Sacred College of Cardinals.He will not be Elected Pope at this Conclave,but he will be Elected Pope at the next Conclave.He is very well liked among the Cardinals, which makes him Honorary.In my eyes there has only been one other Honorary Cardinal who became Pope in the last 100 years,and that was Cardinal Eugenio PACELLI,Secretary of State,Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church.These two positions are the Top Two Positions in the Church.He was destined to be Pope.I the Conclave of 1939,the Cardinals elected him Pope in no time.If I am correct he was Elected on his Birthday,3rd March.This happened through Our Lord Jesus.I am not going to say who will be the next Pope after this New Pope.He will give the Papacy a New meaning in Life.Pope John XX111 called the 2nd Vatican Council in 1962,which changed the Catholic Church.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

An unwritten law for the cardinals is -- no pope will be elected from a powerful country. I didn't make this up. Read the life of John Paul 2 you'll see for yourself.

We should support term limits for Pope's or a suggested retirement age

Its all about ritual and tradition.i didn't even heared them praying heatedly to God almighty through the name of his son Jesus Christ.they didn't even give honor to the most high but only for themselve i can't feel the holy spirit working in this situation.they disregard the bible principles and standard its all about human standard and tradition.its far away from the true christians before and even today!

Anna, you may not agree with the Catholic Church but prayer is constantly done and they do rely on biblical principals. You simply have an alternate interpretation of the facts and that's okay. You don't have to be a Catholic nor do you have to agree with them. It's important that Sede Vacante does not last very long and it's the hope of every Catholic that our Pontifex is intelligent, faithful to Christ and leads the church with wisdom. The only thing secret about this ritual is the names and the voting counts. The ritual itself is not secret and is free for all to see in a Latin Publication called Ordo Rituum Conclavis which contains the words and hymns for what we regard as a very holy process.

Dolan would be an awful pope.

'Ancient' Ritual? I'd say 'outdated', 'archaic' or something along those lines, it's certainly more apt. Perhaps if they opened up the Papal selection process to include a more than just the 'Sexually-frustrated old man' demographic then the church could join us in the 21st Century.

odavies94 The Church never changes but does adapt to this horrific modern world. And how could you say this is outdated? Wouldn’t you be able to say the same for the presidential election process? And women will never be able to be bishops, priests, cardinals, etc...
