Panzerfaust 30 Firing Mechanism clarity.

Ғылым және технология

This is probably an overly long video, it is not made for everyone, just for people wanting more clarification on the Firing mechanism for the Panzerfaust 30. It should be seen with the other video explaining the mechanism. My tripod was broken so I had to film it in a less than great place for it, so Please excuse the background Movies. Hope it helps those who weren't clear on the way the 30 worked.

    Thank you very, very much for the video. It is completely clear now. it was actually easier for me to understand without the "housing" tube, because this way I could see every part clearly XD. P.S.: Good, good movies back there. :)

    It worked, they simplified it even more with the later mechanism. Less parts. Easier to make.

    One thing I keep wondering is if this system does not suffer from inherent leakage of gas through the firing mechanism whilst setting off the propelling charge? Is there any sealing mechanism applied?

    Guess depending on how tight the fit is of the block that holds the primer you may not have too much escaping.

    Just out of curiosity, if you didn't have your KZread channel would you have disassembled your tube? I ask bc they're talking about essentially outlawing braced pistol ARs here (which directly affects me)

    The only answer I can give you is I can't afford to get caught with something this government (regardless of how stupid they are) bans. My job depends on a clean record and my firearms too. If I get arrested for a pipe with a piece of sheet metal on it they will melt my firearms and ban me from owning more for 10 years. Since it isn't much of a toy to make again then I dont feel so bad turning it back into a pipe. Cost me nothing but time to make, and I can easily make another one (better) if smarter people take over. So yes I have to follow the law regardless of how much I think it is a garbage law and worthless.

    @@Stray03 fair enough. If we disagree with a law we elect representatives who will change it, we don't just break it. I appreciate the videos you make and hope you continue, it's cool seeing exactly how somewhat obscure components function. Makes me appreciate the intricacies of these systems all the more

    I make videos usually to try to put the information out there so that people can find it, mainly because I know how aggravating trying to find this kind of information is online. I also don't monetise videos to avoid issues people who rely on youtube for their paycheck have.

    Can you explain or point me in the right direction why this system wouldn't just be considered a black powder canon legally?

  • @Stray03

    @Stray03

    I dont have anywhere. The only problem I can see is if the definition of black powder cannon specifically mentions breech or recoiling. I know in the US the person who made a pzf60 tax stamped it with the ATF but I'm no lawyer so I can't be giving you advice on the stupidity of firearms laws and if what you want to do is legal.

    Yeah there's almost zero regulatory documents giving a definitive answer that I can find. Seems the most useful thing is not actually under black powder regulations but rather the destructive device definition. Which even then lives a lot of room for interpretation. For example 26 U.S.C. § 5845(F) “destructive device shall not include...any device, although originally designed for use as a weapon, which is redesigned for use as a signaling, pyrotechnic, line throwing, safety or similar device"

    Yeah it is definitely something you want to talk to a lawyer about before attempting. Don't need the ATF breaking down your door and shooting you dog because of a tube with a diameter larger than .50. Don't give them that satisfaction.

    Definitely. What's the recoiling part of the BP cannon you were referring to earlier?

  • @Stray03

    @Stray03

    I mean if they mention that it is a device with recoil in what ever definition they use for a cannon then you can't consider a panzerfaust a BP cannon. So if the law considered you a threat they will play with wording.
