This Tennessee State Park has views, trails, and wildlife! Panther Creek State Park near Morristown, Tennessee provides miles and miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. You can view Cherokee Lake from the overlook or from the trails. There is a boat ramp to drop your kayak or boat into the lake for a closer look at this interesting lake with many islands. Finally, you can expect to see many deer at this park. Hang on to your prey-driven dogs!
We enjoyed a long stay at Panther Creek State Park Campground.
What we love about Panther Creek State Park:
1. Panther Creek - runs throughout the park and behind the first few campsites
2. 50 amp sites
3. Verizon service works
4. Hiking, biking, and equestrian trails go on for miles
5. Spacious sites
6. Watch deer every day
7. Boating and kayaking
8. Close to town, restaurants, stores
9. Some sites have sewer!
What we didn't love about Panther Creek State Park:
1. Sites have little privacy
2. Trail maps can be confusing
This park is very popular with the locals after work for walking, track meets, and soccer games. It is a busy park but it is so large there's room for everyone. Like most parks, it fills up on the weekends but is pretty peaceful during the week. Overall, this great park will keep you busy for several days.

Wow. We used to camp there when my son raced BMX. Haven't been there in 20 years. It's changed alot. Back then there was a pool. Wow. So different

Wow. That was quite a while ago! I can't even imagine what it would have looked like then. Yes, it's a shame that the pool isn't being used. Happy travels! 😊👋

These parks are beautiful. Thank you for covering them. If you know there is an RV length restriction, could you please mention it.

Thank you! We appreciate the comment. Yes, we mention restrictions when we know them. Some places will have a sign posted like "No RVs Over 25'". It seems that most parks have a mix of small sites and larger sites throughout the campground. We found one park, that I can't recall the name of it at the moment, that had size signs posted at each campsite, super helpful! We will mention the RV length restrictions when we know them, though. Happy travels! 😊👋
