Indian Springs State Park Campground Review and Things to Do, Flovilla, Georgia

Indian Springs State Park Campground Review and Things to Do, Flovilla, Georgia
Indian Springs State Park is a Georgia State Park located just south of Atlanta, Georgia. It is an easy drive from Interstate 75. Indian Springs State Park is one of the first Georgia State parks!
The park has trails, miniature golf, an event center, picnic areas, a lake, and a creek. In addition, you can camp here or reserve a cottage. While at the park, make sure you take some bottles to the spring house to fill up with the water from the artesian well, said to have healing properties.
You can poke around the cemetery there that dates back to the 1800s. Check out the nearby Dauset Trails Nature Center which has trails connecting the Nature Center to Indian Springs Campground. You can view several animals at the Dauset Trails Nature Center. Finally, you can grab some ice cream near the park.
Indian Springs State Park is a great place to spend the day or stay for a few days.
What we love about Indian Springs State Park:
1. Sites are adequate, most of them provided plenty of room between you and your neighbor. We really liked the way many sites had a "deck" railing.
2. Some sites overlook the lake although the leaves cover up the view in the spring. You can see more in the winter.
3. Plenty to do - trails for hiking and biking, Dauset Trails Nature Center, miniature golf, canoe or kayak, picnic...or just relax in this beautiful setting
4. Beautiful setting
5. Clean bathrooms, hot showers, and laundry facilities
What we didn't love about Indian Springs State Park:
1. Most sites are only 30 amp.
2. Many sites were a little unlevel.
3. Verizon's service was weak.
Was this stop worth it? Would we stay here again?
Yes and Yes! If you are traveling the Interstate 75 corridor, check out Indian Springs State Park.

You should show inside of the shower house. Thanks for showing the camp grounds.

There are 10 cottages, 8-10 (10 being most booked and the best location wise), we have been going there for a very long time, we love it (we do not have a RV), Cell service (at least in those cottages as those are the only ones ive stayed in) , is VERY spotty, we walk around outside trying to get it, or go up to the check in and there is free wifi.

First time seeing your videos. Great information of the park. Excellent job showing what each site looks like. Also loved the verizon cell service bit! Very helpful! 2 huge pros of your video.

Thank you for the feedback! We started doing campground tours because we found so many places had little information or pictures, so we weren't sure what we were getting into. 😆 I think it's a little better these days, but we still enjoy showing what each place has to offer. Happy travels! 😊👋

Love your reviews... Indian Springs isn't one of our favorites for camping, but the history, hiking, and paddling is great. Hard to get a level site for sure! lol Red Top IS one of our faves. Have you been to McKinney Campground? It's an Army Corp park, about 5 min away in Acworth. Nice lakefront sites :-) THIS paddler's dream! Just left Stephen Foster SP. Looked good per your review, and we'll definitely go back. Somehow, as a FL native, we missed visiting that park. Safe travels!

Yes, we LOVE Red Top Mountain! We have not been to McKinney Campground. We do love COE parks, so this one will go on the list. Stephen Foster SP is a beautiful park. I hope you got to do some paddling on the Suwannee River. The Suwannee River is my favorite Florida paddling destination and I am a native, too (Sharon). Happy and safe travels! 😊👋

Thank you! Yes DO check out McKinney if you get a chance :-) Didn't get to paddle this time... the launch is closed for repair or remodel. Host had no idea when opening and we saw on other park official to ask. It was a one day stop over on the way to GA Veterans. We're going back in Oct for a longer stretch. Hopefully, launch will be open :-)
