Don't tar us Millennials with the same brush. When I was at an Anselmo show 3 years ago where they mostly played Pantera songs I haven't touched my phone for a second. Neither did a lot of other people of my age. I think it's more of a technology thing rather than generational because "older" people are filming too. And if it's a "big name" band it tends to draw a lot of casual fans who care more about filming and sharing on social media rather than the experience. But it's sad nonetheless. Imagine witnessing an all time great band (or at least half of it) in person but through a fucking screen.

I remember when I was in my teens and early twenties back in the 90s I used to spend the whole show head banging, moshing, yelling, and screaming. Then as I got a little older I stood on on the outskirts of the pit and focused more on the performance from the band. I was never a smartphone guy as a matter of fact I didn't even get a smartphone until 2016. Lol I remember the first concert I went to when I had my smartphone on me. I snapped some good pictures took a couple minutes of video and put the sum bitch back in my pocket so I could enjoy the show. I still have those memories on my phone but the memories of me just being in the crowd and living in the moment is what mattered the most. It just blew my mind to see thousands of people watching a concert live through their phone instead of looking up at the stage. Lol

I thought it was terrible. Like, he didn’t even try to play the same notes. He just played randomly during Dime’s parts.

@@Angellisgod No. Same concert, but different song. “This Love” was when I noticed he wasn’t playing anything even close to the original. And even the main riff for “Planet Caravan” sounded nothing like Pantera’s cover or even the Black Sabbath original. He actually did really well in this video, for the record.

Pantera 🤘

Lol
