Awesome as f**k. I know this whole reunion/tribute/whatever you want to call it has been put down from the very beginning but it should never have been opposed, or even anything, ever, negative said about it. I know Dime and Vinnie are both gone (RIP) but this band was, and still is, very important. And for fans, who in the past, never got the opportunity to see them live, or especially for newer Generations of fans that may have discovered them since their split in 2000, this is the closest they will ever get to seeing Pantera, as they were. I know nothing, or no one, could ever replace the Abbott Brothers but I think this is even more important in/to keeping their Legacy alive. I was very lucky, and very fortunate, enough to have the opportunity to see them live, twice, during the 1990's and those were experiences that I hope I will never forget for as long as I live. Their songs, their music, are all so important. I know Zakk and Charlie are not Dime and Vinnie but they were all friends and I like to think that they are both up there, hopefully smiling, that people down here are still enjoying their bada*s songs. 🤘🙂🤘

Love that band, and just want as many people that can possibly hear their music to get the opportunity to experience it, and even live, as well, even though it's only 2 of the 4 original members (original meaning, starting with when Phil joined the band in '88). I wish things would have turned out differently. I wish Phil hadn't wanted to leave the band, which eventually caused the split in '03. More than likely, Dime wouldn't have been onstage with his new band, Damageplan, and hopefully not have been taken out the horrible way that he ultimately was. Unfortunately, what took Vinnie, might still have taken him, regardless, because heart issues ain't no joke, and don't hold back either. Have lost several family members to similar heart issues as well, so that's just something you never know about, until it's too late unfortunately. I know it's all a pipedream but I just like to think, but also wonder, if they would have still been around making any new music as Pantera, or even what he (Dime) and his brother would have been up to nowadays. That's just the way my mind roams, you know?

@@YBADick Most definitely. Appreciate that. Really miss that band, especially as they were during the '90s. I got into metal back in '92, when I was only 12 years old, after seeing Anthrax on Married With Children back in that same year. Not too long after that, I discovered Headbangers Ball late one Saturday night in '92, and one of the first videos I ever saw that first night while watching it, was Pantera's Mouth For War and Slayer's Seasons In The Abyss. Within the next few weeks of that, I picked up both Pantera's Vulgar Display Of Power and Slayer's Seasons In The Abyss, and have remained a fan of both bands, and especially, of Anthrax, ever since that year. Crazy that was over 30 years ago now. I really miss those times/days back then. Here's to the better times/days. 🍻

Fuck Phil. He killed Pantera to begin with and now he’s just doing a cash grab now that Vinnie Paul is no longer with us. Vinnie NEVER allowed this shit to happen while he was alive. Pantera died on December 8th, 2004. Anybody who thinks differently is kidding themselves.

Rex is so fucking underrated.

Hell yeah, dimebag was all about high trebble lead tone, Rex was there making the albums sound heavy and agressive on the low end

Yes but we don't know what he's hearing in his in ear monitor. Live performance is a very fluid situation and not every issue is the fault of the musician. Things aren't always perfect and sometimes they're just doing their best with what they have to work with on any given night.

I agree that in ears sometimes don't quite work, but having played many shows, and knowing how horrible monitors can be, I'm talking more about his groove and feel (or lack thereof). I know he's an amazingly talented player and much, much better than I am, obviously, but his feel is so off on this... That's all.. :)

Seems alot of people spend more time complaining about zakk rather then celebrate the fact they are keeping the dream alive.

First concert I ever went to was Pantera on the reinventing the steel tour. Saw them at the Gibson amphitheater at Universal Studios in Hollywood(now Harry Potter world) with Soulfly and Morbid Angel. I know this isn’t the same and when I see them at Sofi in August with Metallica it won’t be the same but I still got chills when Zakk started rippin.

Yup. I saw their first 4 tours. Phil sounds better than I expected. Rex is still solid as a rock. Charlie is a great drummer but doesn't sound as powerful as Vinnie was but then again nobody does. I like Zakk but this was just not good at all.

I went to their Cowboys From Hell concert and it kicked ass 🤘❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥🤘

They came to our small town, Canberra, in 1996. It was almost unnatural how perfect Dimebag was. I've got to say, Zakk is pretty damn fine here though!

Zakk has never been a mimic. He stood in for Randy and did his own thing. He's standing in for Dime and doing his own thing. If any of you think he can't play the parts, well, you're just ignorant and need to grab a damn clue.

Yea he did zakk rendition in honor of Dime. Phil didn't do half bad either considering the torture he's put his voice through all those years. I'd be more than happy with this performance. But no, you can't duplicate Dime might have Lil things here and there but Dime was Dime. End of story.

If you knew zakk you would have heard his work replacing Randy Rhoads. He gave much more respect to Randy who he didn’t know… But then again he had to impress Ozzy, so that was his motivation… this time he has a brand, no motivation to get it right and actually even play all the solos much less do them correct lol This is probably the best song they play at these shows… and it’s not great but I guess there is fire. 😂

I wanna see the Pantera tribute in concert ,but I'm not paying $1200 to be 100 + yards from the stage & miss 2 days work ,for it .That's how much tickets cost when they come near me in a year & a half from now ,$1200 for 1 ticket ,over 100 yards from the stage

Is that one of the shows backing Metallica? I know I paid close to that, but it's actually 2 shows on a Friday and a Sunday. Metallica + Pantera one night and Metallica + 5 Finger Death Punch the next. Still far too much, but a hell of a lot better than if that is for a single show.

@The Demon Throne iv already seen Metallica in concert ,several times & iv seen Zak & bls several times as well, I refuse to pay that much ,to see a concert iv seen many times b4 ,or paying just to see Anselmo & brown ,it's just not worth it, I can see my favorite band megadeth for only a couple hundred bucks for a ticket right by the stage
