most people can't but to be honest what I always loved most about his voice/performance is that he could scream/shout words out while still maintaining a clear melody if that makes any sense therefore my favourite Pantera albums are CFH and VDOP

I have the same "Unscarred" he has plus the upside zombie face on the back his right forearm. I idolized Phil growing up and I loved those two tattoos. Still a huge fan of his. I want to see him live so bad. Belay that, I want to meet him so bad.

The fact that I can disagree with him the same that I can agree with him but it's respect because I see mutual respect when I listen to him even if he says something that I absolutely disagree with it's no different than something that I would absolutely agree with because hes just speaking from his own mind and heart rather than saying what people expect him to say.

A lot of people look at tattoos in the wrong light. There was a "BAD BOY" and "TROUBLE MAKER" stigma attached to tattooed people for years. I myself have been getting tattooed for the past 30 years or so and have tattoos on my arms, legs, chest, back, one hand and in my mouth and am in no way a trouble maker :S I believe in the saying that "The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is ..........tattooed people don't care if you're not tattooed"

I'm more of an admirer of body art than a wearer. I have not one tattoo, but probably hundreds of scars from work, drunken misadventures and so on, each one tells a story. I certainly don't try to get hurt, but it seems I'm always in the crosshairs so to speak. That said, I still highly respect Phil, he's been through it all, the man deserves a little slack.

Pretty cool seeing Phil be so candid these days.

It's so funny how metal fans are are like damn Phil Anselmo and Joey Jordison have gotten fat. Most of y'all don't know what shit they've had to go through to be where they're at today. Appreciate it, and no ones perfect especially coming from the people that put them down.

Wow! I've always been a Pantera/Phil fan but as I got older I began to feel embarrassed for Phil. It was like he was stuck at age 20 and could never get over the glory days even though time had passed him by. I'm actually proud of him after this interview. It's the first interview I've heard from him where he displays wisdom. Very cool.
