Not necessarily out of jealousy Rob, but just something not rubbing them up the right way. I think he plays it quite well, but it's also obvious that he's miming in the video (all the overdubs, multi-tracking, punch-in recording etc). I'm sure he's a decent player, but perhaps some people don't like the fact he's trying to pass it off as a live performance? There's a lot of 'KZread Guitarists' who produce fantastic videos in the comfort of their own bedroom, only to shit themselves and sound like utter mongaloids when playing live. Remember MattRach? People used to think he was the reincarnation of Randy Rhoads because his videos made him lookg stunning and then he did that horrific live performance and could barely play. It was like watching a Swan get tortured to death. Now he barely has any followers and probably works in a supermarket selling baguettes.

Wow. just...wow. Really well played. One of my favorite Pantera songs, and this may sound strange, but when I sit on my front porch and this song plays through my earbuds...I look up and I can almost see Dime playing it in the clouds. It's like his spirit comes through the notes of this song. Brought a tear to my eye.

I hear ya. I don't see Dime when I hear this song, but there is just so much emotion in this song. Dime really out did himself with this solo and outro. Some of the most beautiful moments in heavy metal history imo. We owe it all to him. On of the masters of the craft. Let us keep shredding in his honour.

I said it before and I'll say it again: You capture Dimebag's style better than anyone else. It's like you own the fretboard and you know exactly which notes to pinch and just how much to vibrato. Awesome man!

I love when someone plays solo and makes it sound not exactly same as on recording, this shows that you feel music you play, not just play notes

Not the biggest fan of this particular album but the song is one of the greatest songs in all of rock / metal. The outro is indescribably beautiful.

I’m sure that dime wrote this in the mid to late 80s and then came back to it many years later. Such an emotive solo and song! Metal can be beautiful 🤟🤟🤟

I was so amazed to hear such a soulful solo after such a tense, rough, discordant song like this one when I listened to it for the first time.

From a drummer to you this was played perfectly.when watching Pantera I can't take my eyes off Dime.He had such an emotion on TGST from floods to drag the waters to 10's to sandblasted skin,he should still be here on this planet with his bro Vin and he was taken way to early.we all miss him but I'm sure he's rocking out somewhere.

He double tracked the solo, Gepard is right. He is playing it, if anything he recorded all the guitar then recorded the video, some people like doing that but since this isn't a multi angle video he probably didn't do that.

I think KG is a fantastic guitarist but for some reason in my head he just can't nail dimes tone, and often his covers make my ears hurt when I listen to them. In my OPINION I think this guy absolutely nailed it. Ten times better than KG

Awesome dude. The hardest part I find playing the first part of the solo is getting the harmonic pinches and the tone like Dime did on the final note of each run. You obviously have no such issues lol.
