HOLY MOLY! That is without a doubt the absolute closest to the original I've ever seen/heard ANYONE do that solo. Tone, phrasing, timing, it's ALL in there! Kudos!

Thanks! I have gotten closer than before, but I still need to practice it more to get it as good as I can. I know I can do better! Hopefully I'll be able to get the DFH fixed up and do re-do a full cover of the song in the future🤘

Sweet playing! What is that thing by the locking nuts on the headstock? Is that to dampen noise?

It's to dampen the "metallic" ringing sound you get after hitting the strings hard, it can really be annoying and can resonate through the amp whilst you're playing sometimes too! For a quiet guitar it's best to keep the headstock quiet and also the springs in the back cavity too! Thanks for the compliment!

I do have active EMGs on my 7 string, but haven't tried it with the plugin yet. You should be able to get something similar with a little tweaking though since they're high output!

What Hz to you have the tuner set for when you do CFH?

I never really use a tuner to be honest, I've always used my ears. I really don't understand why so many people use tuners for playing covers or playing along to music, because a number of factors can mean it's not always going to be exact. However, I think Grady says that he used to tune "40 cents" down from E standard. If you're happy to hear my advice though, then I recommend using the low open E string and trying to match it to the E in any track you're listening to, if you can hear a high E string in there too then even better, but I've always just matched the E and then tuned the rest of the strings off each other. Your ears are your best tools! 🙂

Fuck.. I defy anyone to play it better... Did you use amplitube 4 cfh package?
