Pantera - A New Level Solo Cover - Live rendition (practice)

Firstly, Appologies for the poor video quality, This is an old video that was just meant to be a quick video for Instagram demonstrating a Kemper profile I made of my Dime rig, so this isn't by any means a "final" take video ;) It was recorded with my phone, but when I edited/cut the video it decided to reduce the framerate too! (I have no idea how that happened).
I'm not sure if I'm hooking it up incorrectly, but for some reason I've always had a problem with my Cry Baby From Hell sucking volume and gain when it's cocked back sometimes, so if it sounds like there's no pick-attack or like I'm not picking at all, it's more than likely because my heel is down on the wah. That being said I WILL be properly practicing the studio version of this solo more. /,,/
Anyway, I thought it's been a while since KZread has had any Dime related covers from me, so why not! ;)
Gear:
Washburn USA Dime 3 Slime
Kemper.

Sounds pretty sick just a little too fast in parts it's so hard to get that dime feel still though a thousand times better than I could do!

Thanks! Yeah I'm not massively happy with it tbh as it was only me practicing and demoing the tone really. Hopefully later in the year I'll have my other 2 deans playable, some things tweaked/fixed on the Washy, and more importantly.. time to practice! haha.

@@DomicidalCovers tone sounds alright maybe just needs a little more gain/sustain but then dime used 400 watt Randall's didn't he with that mxr flanger doubler rack thing and an EQ not sure what noise gate he used though

@@ottoman666 Oh the tone probably sounds LESS like his tone than my full Randall rig does in my other videos haha Mainly because It was to just show off how close the Kemper could replicate it, so it's definitely not going to be perfect, but yeah there are so many reasons why most people won't be able to get close to his tone, and your reason is one of them. From what I know of he used multiple 150w Randalls(wet and dry), with the Flanger/Doubler being wet, so that it gave the very slight delay effect when combined with the dry amps. The profile I'm using here was one of many I made myself from my Randall RG80ES(obviously not the 100es which Dime used, so that's another potential candidate), PQ-4 MXR 6-band, and my Aphex Aural Exciter. When the Kemper makes profiles it tells you to turn off or disconnect any noise gates from the chain so I didn't use mine, but Dime used an old Rocktron apparently, I would have one but I may have to buy the one he used from overseas as there aren't many for sale here in the UK :(

It's great man, the tone is really good just missing that little bit of attack as you mentioned. Despite that it's still a very nice tone, not many people can get that close to Dime's tone.

Well Man. What can I say. Killer. I also saw your Walk Solo and it is amazing. I reach your account following istructions from Attila Voros. your sound is amazing and your feeling and performance is quite incredible. If you close your eyes, well, it is Dime coming back to guitar. Would you share what Kemper rig are you using for these solos? I will never play like that but I own a Kemper and would really love to give it a try. Nothing more to say man. Keep on rocking. It is amazing how close to Dime you sound Thanks in advance.
